In case you haven't realized California hasn't done that many liberal things in the past few decades. Prop 13, energy privatization, requiring 2/3 to pass taxes, vetoing single payer health care, I seem to recall all of those being conservative ideals in action. I also seem to recall all of those ruining California. Conservatism ruined California.

Hospitals wouldn't be suffering if we had single payer health care, which our current governor, A CONSERVATIVE, vetoed. Businesses leaving due to regulations is the biggest falsehood since trickle down economics. Why don't you move to Colorado Springs? You must be in crack. I am a card carrying Canadian Medicare recipient. All of the hospitals in Canada are owned by the provincial governments. Also in the UK the hospitals are owned by the government. The only things not government owned are the physician practices, but they are regulated so that they can only contract with the government.

The health care in Canada is awful. I had to wait over a year to get a family physician. You also have to have a family doctor before seeing any specialist, and internists are considered specialists!

Propaganda? I lived the system. My family works in the system. The system sucks. It is true that if you are gravely ill you are given priority, but the same is true in the US, even moreso. In the US anyone can get care, both preventive and emergency without regard to ability to pay. Basically all of Canada's hospitals are like the U.S.'s County hospitals, terrible quality relative to US private care, but free care.

Actually you do. Some procedures are not available or are not covered and therefore you have to seek a private hospital in Alberta or the United States. Also prescription drugs are not covered at all, whereas in the US most union plans at least subsidize them. This is also a myth that you have to go bankrupt in the US for medical care, you can hire an attorney to draft legal documents that would prevent a health care bankruptcy for cheap, many file bankruptcy as a result of financial illiteracy.

We turned off the TV after a few seconds of the ad running, appalled that she had the gall to do it. This is the sign of a person that thinks that she can rewrite the rules of decency. This is a woman who is power hungry and doesn't care who she rolls over to get it. She didn't vote for 28 years, and still thinks she should be governor. She cannot become governor.
