@MrTubifexTubifex It does actually have a lot of cyberpunk style to it [kind of a grungy, dystopian, dirty future], though it's quite different enough not to be. It's quite unique stylistically, in my opinion.

Hey does anyone remember this anime where some young boy is stuck living on a planet with a few other people... I remember in particular a female (think she was a kitty) who was infactuated with the young man... they lived near a HUGE tree or soemthing... but the story was based on an isolated planet, very green (I think) in space... I think it aired on adult swim... hit me back please.

I've never seen Gall Force but I've also watched such movies as Casshan: Robot Hunter, Venus Wars, Vampire Hunter D, Project A-KO, Tank Police, and some anime with a dude named Mystere or whatever (don't even know if I spelled his name right, lol...someone help me if you know what that was).

HOWEVER, I think, that this was the first anime I had ever watched a show scene + scene a hot ecchi scene/naked woman in, hee hee! That or Project A-Ko on one of my older brother's VHS tapes. I still remember a lot of the story strangely, even though I watched them at 9 or 10.

Mine too man. Before seeing this, I thought all anime was crap. After this, I realized I'd been a fool. When the girl shouts at the end, "I love you Iria!" I can't help but tear up a little. It wasn't just the first of several animes I ever enjoyed, but a growth experience for me in open mindedness and humility. Thanks, Iria. And thanks to the Sci-Fi channel who showed this all in one go, late one night. Seeing this again really makes me wish there was more Iria.

@remraily9 I know it's been a year since this comment, but just to clarify for the curious who arrive here: Yoichiro Yoshikawa composed the song, but the singer is Yayoi Goto.

This video brings on a SEVERE case of nostalgia. I'm tempted to hunt down the 8 Man After OVAs, too, after seeing this. XD
