how do you hook these up to a normal house appliances, stupid i know , but i want to hook one up to a house fan (not a ceiling fan)...any feed back accepted
At mu old job, we use them to maintain a charge on batteries for generators located at distant work sites. The ones we have are water proof. Worth the cost.
will it keep a laptop charged or charge a laptop while in use??I'm getting that cheap alienware m11x laptop and it has 7.5 hours of battery so I think it doesn't use up too much power but will it work for that?
this is only good if you leave your car sitting for a while. 1.8watts wont help against 2 50watt headlights, plus the parking lights.,, it's good for a car parked over a long period.
I would get this in case I forget to turn off my headlights again, but the problem is, I only use my headlights at night, so I don't really see the point.
@cryora Also they take a few days to fully charge a battery. I pulled the AA battery out of my wall clock and one panel ran the clock just fine. Again....no good after dark.
I have the same panels. I connected 4 of them together in parallel. One of them is just enough to keep the battery from draining empty when the battery is not in use, but these panels are not made for charging a used battery. With 4 of them connected together to a 12 volt battery I can use some LEDS as garden lights. Had them hanging outside on a wooden plank all year, even with some serious frost, and that was not a problem at all. With a small circuit I want to automate the LEDS. Greets, iT
@anyonefindAMERICA I took electronics in high school. I wish I had listened more instead of trying to make the biggest solder ball. I'm doing one of those DIY panels from 3x6 mini cells. It's a learning process but YT is good for that.
Maybe we stopped a false flag grid attack by mentioning it? Cough..Cough...July National Geographic...Cough.
harborfright has same ones for 12$ if u use 20% off coupon

@thatguy1252 These are very weak and can't power an appliance. I did get them to power a little computer fan.

I wonder if they could be used as a cell phone charger??

ReddyRoD2 1 year ago
@ReddyRoD2 I'm not sure. I got it to run a wall clock that normally took a AA battery. Not good after dark. I'll be messing with them more soon.

@MegaDeathwarrant No, these are way too weak. Good for maintaining a car battery but takes days to charge.

I just bought 2 of the same exact solar panels for $20, I haven't tested them yet.
I also have the same exact multimeter. :p
On the website, it says they can be used in temperatures as low as -40.
