I tried IE9 beta. I think all the programers that worked on this trash should be fired. I slowed my system and destroyed my video capabilities. I have windows 7 and it did not work for me at all. My favorites were relocated from my tool bar to a pull down menu the only way i could make them more accessable was to open tabs for all my favorites. How would this EVER make your browser faster.

I find Chrome the fastest browser on my pc .. I have IE8 aswell ..

even though Internet Explorer 8 is an updated native application/browser on my PC .. Google Chrome is still faster .. WAY FASTER ! a couple of seconds per search .. whereas IE8 takes about 10secs.

and do note .. my PC has an outdated graphics card .. crap RAM and is seriously seriously sloww ! .. (i have to wait 10minutes for the desktop to fully load) .. overall its old ¬_¬

It is there in IE 8 on status bar. But in IE 9 and Chrome, these buttons are hidden under settings and wrench respectively. One more thing, Opera's Fit to Width is a unique feature.

i just downloaded it and its fast! i never used IE and currently use Chrome. the new IE9 runs and starts up quick.I have disabled all add-ons and have a blank browser it runs smoother and looks cleaner..One of the reasons i left IE and firefox for chrome was to much clutter..this browser is fast and similar chrome..i will contiune using IE9 as my primary browser. just needs a tad more google connectivity

Well right now the fastest functional web browser is Mozilla developer preview 3.7 (firefox minefield), i9 "window" is hell fast, but you can't test beyond opening a tab and that's problem.

Chrome was great, but right know is slacking behind with multiple issues like wyiswyg web ware and errors opening some images. I'm looking forward Firefox 3.7 and Ie9, but I recommend moving towards Mozilla firefox, unless google shows something better.

big lie chrome is so slow and unreliable im using windows 7 64bit stable chanel of chrome always that error of cant load pages or sites even a google search doesnt work after I clear everything and change proxies and other things. it took 5 seconds to get to this video and it crashed ie8took 10 but it didnt crash.

@LanteanKnight so have i i tried new ones after i got my laptop and firefox was good for a bit till it slowed down all the cant load page same for chrome so ya its so slow after a few days you can barely do anything. its so annoyingly slow after doing every thing you can to clear it only a fresh install fixes it. plus it downloads files so slow and i got good internet for 200kbs on ie8 100 and lower on chrome

I actually enjoy using all three for various tasks. However, IE8 is still my default. I use Chrome primarily on my netbook for the speed.

I have absolutely nothing against IE8. It's a robust browser and actually very secure and stable. With todays powerful pc's the speed difference between the browsers is negligible. So for me, it comes down to features and overall comfort level. Can't wait to test drive IE9.
