Love that CD! My favorite on the CD is "Wallace Bled," with the words in the song at the beginning being taken from the Robert Burns poem called "Robert Bruce's March To Bannockburn," written in 1793 about the Scottish victory in Bannockburn.
The big guy on the pipes is Charlie Allen and you can also see him in Gladiator the Russell Crow film he is the leader of the German Army who stands at the edge of the forest with a severed head in his hands challenging the Roman Army.
@Heyhoyawah lowland scots is very Germanic but still Gaelic and celtic my German friends say the Glasgow accent is talor made for learning German. I would agree.
