he did not!!!illmatic released his album in 1993 (i hope,because if not, i´m making myself ridicolous right now^^)But i definetily know,that illmatics first appereance at 3p was in 1995 with the track 3p licence 2 kill!

Even I could b wrong but... even if Illmatic named himself after Nas´s LP... Nas has got it from somewhere aswell ;-) Anyway... dunno why I got thumbs down for my other comment. Nas fucking rocks, and his best Album is Illmatic! By the way... License 2 Kill was released 16.02.1998 :-D

ehm no...it is not! i have thze single right here in front of me.illmatics first lp was one year later in englisch(dont know the name anymore, because it was awful and still ill was released at 1998.Believe a guy thats member of 3p supporter club since 1994^^

ich hoffe illmatic würde in seinen tracks ein paar griechische standartwörter benutzen wie z.b. malakas, arxidia etc. damit sie auch bekant werden. wie manche wörter die türkischen räper oft benutzen
