  • I know they were way off track on this one!

  • Ernie Kovacs is awesome, but yeah....not quite his type of show.

  • I just love how Ernie Kovacs says the wackiest things completely with a straight face.

  • I like Bennett's little fake pout at 7:00.

  • Yes, it's adorable. : )

  • Moooo! Talk about a misled panel!

  • 3:29 > Ernie Kovac's big zinger of the game has to be entirely spontaneous, which tells you something about his comic gifts. If the producers had suggested it as a gambit, John Daly would have called on him first. When Hal Block or Steve Allen had a gambit, they went first, and their gambit lasted one round. exactly.

  • This episode comes from Autumn 1957 when Arlene suffered a broken ankle and when G-T auditioned Ernie Kovacs for two months as a possible post-Fred Allen permanent panelist. That did not quite work out, fortunately.

WML producers probably prayed every night for a contestant like this: expressive face, off-beat occupation involving a funny animal, articulate. Even though the panel trashes about lost in space, they are still hilarious. A classic in the whole history of WML.
