Lennon described the noise as "wild" and also twice as deafening when the Beatles performed. Not being able to hear each other or even themselves, The Beatles just played through a list of songs nervously, not knowing what kind of sound was being produced. At the end of the show (during "I'm Down"), Lennon saw the whole show as being so ridiculous that he just began playing the keyboard with his elbows while the whole group laughed hysterically.

Some people complain that Paul was too serious sometimes, but if it wasn't for him this song would have been a total disaster. Ringo also helped, but John and George were laughing their asses out, they almost couldn't sing. They were like playing at their living room after having a few drinks. Just look how John calls George with his hand at 1:53 , like he was more concerned about kidding than about playing. It was great that they had so much fun in the stage though.
