I had the Mino HD for a short while. It performed well, but then Canon introduced the SD 780 IS which also shoots in HD and takes pics in 12.1MP. So I returned the Flip and got the Canon. lol

Yes i saw that camera, it seems to have pretty good features. I was also looking at the kodak zi8, which would've been great cuz it has the external mic adapter and image stabilization..but didn't come w/ a memory card. Plus it had mixed reviews (just like the minoHD) so i guess i kinda just stuck with what i have, especially since the wife bought it for me. =) It's a nice little camera, i think only thing is it doesn't pick up the low/deep sounds as well, like the exhaust.

Thats what Im concerned with, I want to pick up low/deep sounds. I would like something with an external mic adapter too.

I haven't tried it first hand, but you'd probably want the zi8

I got the zi8....my only issue is do you have a hard time editing with the HD? I have tried everything I can think of....multiple software programs, multiple computers. It plays back fine, but when I import the footage into a editing program it gets really choppy.

Not at all. minoHD has an internal editing program so u can pretty much start editing when u plug in. how's the sound?

Tobe honest I have not even gotten to see how the sound is. My car is in storage for the winter, plus I cant figure this editing stuff out. I just dont understand why I cant get it to not be choppy. Ugh Im so frustrated, Im debating returning all of it and getting some LCA's.

thanks. I actually just bought this camera and so far it's worked out well. Ironically, the sound picked up the deeper decibals on my old HTC TouchPro2 phone
