ummm not to be a smart ass but i have one of those BUT it's a LG VX8550 which was released on 2007, the LG VX8500 was the original chocolate which was released on 2006. i thought i'd say this since no one has even notice that you have it as LG VX8500 in your info box.....

You are not a smart ass. Just a dumb ass. It IS an LGVX8500. The 8550 has the send keys on the keypad, which the Chocolate in the video doesn't. The one in the video also had the touch sensitive scroll wheel, while the 8550 has an actual wheel.

I have this phone in the ice blue and I love it so much!!! You have to get used to how to control it and then its great from there. I've never had a problem texting. The only kind of bad thing is the vibrating things can get really sensitive but rarely if you can control it.

The old chocolates suck, and so do the new ones. I had to replace my old chocolate 5 times from hardware faliure. I would always have my screen turn white, or the touch keys wouldn't work.

I used to have the Chocolate in mint, but I switched to the Venus instead. My Chocolate kept dropping calls and I went through six of them in ONLY 4.5 months. The Venus is way better. Its like a fancy Chocolate with a touch screen. I totally recommend it.

well i have like the a t n t version and it has the 1.3 mega pixle camra and it is one of the best camra phone i have ever had and the camcorder is alot better and it can also turn off the sound... im not saying the choclate is bad it is actually pretty cool but honestly the a t n t version is better and it is not the touch thing u push the button witch is better cuz it wont do a bunch of stuff while in your poket so yea they are both pretty cool (p.s. i have the green version !)

yo for all that use "BATTERY DIENG" as an excuse listen here boy, when u put ur phone on charge, and its completly charged u gotta disconnect the charger. the longer u have it connected after its comopletly charged, the less life ur phone battery will have next time u use it. and besides tell me any phone that dnt break if u dnt take care of it? i got a green chocolate and its still new. =)
