  • went through katrina, without water for 3-4 days, without electricity for a week not too bad compared to a lot of people. The only scary moment was when a few prisoners broke out of jail in the area, my dad and I were about it for the security for our area and this was a bit before I was as well versed in firearms and tactics as I am now but even with my current skill/education level this has opened my eyes to how little we are prepared for security detail.

  • Nice 3-Part series...good job!

  • approved vehicles.. apply a non obvious marking on all approved vehicles ( white spot on front bumber ) who live in the perimeter , .look out at any road leading into area for early warning, any vehicle entering area without one gets stopped at gunpoint

  • you talk about people invading your retreat to loot, but what if it is people looking for help? what if they have children? would you concider letting them into your retreat if they offer to do their part in helping or atleast let the children stay until the parent finds a stable retreat of their own? reason i ask is that if i'm running away with my family because it got to bad to stay where we were, do you think people would atleast help my children? how do i approach for help?

  • @kcolmore1 Hands up yelling is a start. But don't expect everyone to be friendly.

  • AMAZING! You did an excellent job covering all the basesnow we just need to bring this info to light in our neighborhood and hopefully CONVINCE THEM OF HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS! Unfortunately, probably 65% of our neighborhood is elderly, what should be done in this case? Move? LOL! Seriously, I don't know what to do about this issue, please help! Thanks again for great information!

  • Great advice! Thanks alot.

  • WOW! That was amazing advice! I took notes!

  • Where do you recommend getting body armor and what kind, night vision, nuc/gas masks? Thanks.

  • Thanks for the information......very helpful to those of us with no military training. What are you doing to prepare for personality changes due to lack meds that people have gotten used to taking.......like mind altering drugs. Also with other drugs that people will be forced off of like nicotine and caffiene.

  • You did a great job on the National Geographic TV presentation of prepping. You come across as very natural, and I think you might be chosen for a movie in the future, because of your knowledge and your great speaking and teaching ability.

  • this is a great channel, thanks for taking the time to give all this information, please keep the videos coming brother!

  • I'm interested in seeing more videos on this, especially fighting tactics.

  • Shoot the prisoners. i'm not feeding them

  • Fantastic Video SP1

  • Thanks, this was interesting!

    Tim

  • Great vid--you are helping many people.

  • Excellent subject matter sir! Definitely food for thought!

  • thanks for another great video

  • Great video . I am interested in doing some in depth research on the subject matter . Are there any books you would recommend?

  • @resourcefulgirl Yes there are some good ones and hopefully next week I will do a video giving some of the titles and the authors and I will try to give them from the most helpful to the least helpful but all of them are good. This way if you can only buy one or two you will get the better ones.

  • @southernprepper1 What infantry unit were you in the army

  • @resourcefulgirl countermobility field manual, survivability on the battlefield, and "total resistance" are some good ones for defense and fortifying positions. The last is one that was written for Swiss civilians in preparation to defend against Hitler. It's a bit outdated as far as tech but is the best book on civi defense against superior forces and has a lot of useful info n ideas imho. The first two are military field manuals but are available on amazon last I checked.

  • This is great info. Part of every urban survival should be a map of the area. Also, study google earth for your natural water supplies, escape routes and choke points. Lastly, consider a police scanner as part of your communcatons - just so yu know what they know.

  • Thanks! That was great information!

  • Listen everyone, these 3 videos are probably the most valuable information you will watch on youtube. You can have all the guns, ammo, body armor, food and gadgets money can buy, but without security, it is all for nothing. You need to take steps now to get your security plan into operation. I have realized that, for all my prepping, my wife and I alone will not stand a chance against even a small group of marauders.

  • What am I supposed to do with the prisoners when that's an extra mouth to feed?

  • @danny99999999999999 It depends on the situation. If its a temporary lack of security or law enforcement is spread thin, detain then turn them over to the police or if you know you cant take care of them dont detain them.

  • @danny99999999999999

Take em for a walk outside the perimeter. Bring along your .22 pistol.

  • @danny99999999999999

An alternative in a real TEOTWAWKI situation is to put them on a pike just outside the perimeter with a sign. This will let the BG's know you mean business.

  • for a prisoner being moved through your subdivision you should blindfold they guy

    or just kill him

  • I would like to see this applied to a google earth subdivision, in a real set up of a neighborhood. An aerial view and marked with colored pens on how you would do this, just a thought to make it clear for people, great info

  • @LivingHistorySchool I will look into doing this... I dont know if I can technology and me dont get along. Maybe i can do a sand table.

  • @southernprepper1 If you like I could help you with that, remember I was an art director. PM me and I'll get you what ever graphic you need my friend.

  • @LivingHistorySchool i do this to make note of who has swimming pools in the area . ; ]

  • Great info SP, thanks for your time in doing this.

    EBob

  • well im fucked i have no firearms lol

  • @TheResistancedude56

If you live in a state like NY or California... Senators like Chucky Schumer that have armed body guards, recommend that the public call 911 and don't carry a firearms.

  • Great info

    Schmoo

  • unbelievable! who would think that we would be talking about this stuff in america.Good stuff SP1, just hope we never have to resort to this. keep up the informative vids. peace. PFC.

  • 3:22 A key weapon:

    /watch?v=dSp7CipN1pw

  • Have you read the true story regarding what happened in Serbia? No matter your "preps" someone will come in with superior numbers with heavy weapons and take everything you have... To survive you must be invisible or have many, many in your group... This fact worries me greatly..!

  • Perfect. Thanks. Folks shouldn't miss another one of yours: 'Trip wire alarms for retreat security'.

  • ty sp1 for this very informative video series!!

  • I am in my middle 30s and I live in a neighborhood with a largely disproportionate number of retirees and elderly people. I'm afraid my area would be a soft target and difficult to organize any kind of effective defense team. What would you suggest my girlfriend and I do in the event of a WROL situation?

  • @ds10363 It sounds like they cant leave because of there age so more people to help you secure your area maybe?

  • @southernprepper1 Awesome info! I just learned so much with in these 3 videos! Thank you for putting the time to make the video

  • @ds10363 Old people love to sit around and watch stuff. Incorportate them into your early warning/reporting network.

  • @ds10363 Put the old men in an elevated position with a bolt action. There is a good reason for buying a case of Mosins. The older generation are usually experienced with guns, might be korean, vietnam vets, you might be happy they are around. Might not be albe to run & gun but there is a lot to be said for experience. A lot of those old guys may have already 'been there and done that" and wont get rattled when it comes time to squeeze a trigger.

  • Outstanding series.Must have information.

  • I wish we could give two thumbs up, this was a very informative series!

  • Excellent video series full of very useful info. Thanks brother and God Bless.

  • Thank you, good series indeed. Great info.

  • Great series! All good info. When I did armed security a while back, I staggered my patrol times. Mostly to throw anyone off that might have been tracking my schedule of rounds. Thanks for putting these video's out. They sure do help. God Bless!

  • good to know thanks

  • 12 year old with a bicycle zoom. I was thinking if you have explosives you can take out a bridge diverting any triffic into areas you have the advantage. There is a new thing called concrete cloth just place and spray with water. Buildings can be inflated and srpayed with water poof instant structure they have a video of this cloth over sand bags you need to see that. I wear a emergency whistle ALL TIMES it is very loud.

  • Great information. Thank you for all your hard work to help us all. Blessings!

  • Who said we do not have anti-tank weapons? A decent .50 rifle with API rounds works great for engine blocks and even tanks. Furthermore, they are legal in most areas, and with ammo, the entire set-up ammo included is only about $4000. All that being said, I would not make anti-tank abilites a primary when prepping, lol.

  • @Jesses001 Good job Dav...Thanks and God bless...

  • Thank you for what you do.

    Pete
