MAC products in Australia are ridiculously priced because right now our dollar is almost equal to the US dollar but we pay 32 dollars an eyeshadow so basically we pay equivalent to 30 US dollars an eyeshadow. I really should buy online :) anyways great video very helpful!!!

Everything is so kuch more expensive here in canada! Eyeshadow pots are 17.50 and eyeshadow quads are around 52.00!!!! The foundations are no less than 31.00. Great video though!

@ToothfairyCarol forgot to say, do you habe the eyeshadow called Plumage? If you do what do you think of it, I love the color but it's hard to apply and with a base as an all over lid color it's splotchy.

Sweet I got MAC stuff just eyeshadows though, I'm talking 4 lol and the 217 brush. Water picks are hella expensive! My hygenist told me ti get one and it's like an investment... They used one in the office when I had braces, and my teeth and gums are soo sensitive it hurt so bad... And it was cold lol, she was trying to heat up the water =P.

I recently got into makup and I'm excited because I'm going to mac for the first time real soon for something! (making a list as we speak) I'm quite good at saving up my money so for me I'll go for one thing at a time. I've watched a lot of these vidios and a brush that comes up a lot is the 182 kabuki, I'm big into powder and not liquid foundation, would this brush be a good investment in your opinion?

I'm so excited for you! You'll have to let me know what you end up getting. The 182 is a great brush. If you are looking for another great brush, occasionally you can get the 180 kabuki. I like that better, but it's hard to find. Hope this is helpful

I would LOVE to spend that much on makeup if I had THAT much money to spend in one shopping spree. I'd rather spend that much money on jeans and and a really NICE top and a pair of really NICE shoes (if I could ever find my tiny shoe size 5). I did spend that much on these REALLY sweet looking shirts and this REALLY nice pair of pants at the mall once! :^D But no, that would be way too much to spend on a LITTLE bit of makeup. As far as concealers I love studio sculpt it provides full coverage. Studio fix powder is a matte and gives full coverage and it's typically for oily skin. E

Another tip for anyone starting out with MAC is to buy the pan refiill eyeshadows. They're only $11 and you can fill up the 4x eye shadow palette which is only $3.50. A cheaper alternative to buying the eye shadow that $14.50, plus it takes up less space and you can just throw it in your makeup bag with an eyeshadow brush and go!

Toothfairy, I bought my 120 MAC palette on ebay and I love it...what would you suggest for someone who wants to do different looks but has no guide to start with as far what colors go where and how to find practice faces to look at?

Hey doll. First off, I have never heard of 120 MAC palette. I would take it to a MAC store for them to take a look at it to check for its authenticity.  It sounds to me like you bought fake mac unfortunately.

As far as looks there are tons of books, information on youtube as well as in several magazines. The Mac cosmetics website has several face charts you can check out. Good LUCK doll. Keep me posted.

It is super important! They make the eyeshadows last longer on your lids and they help prevent the shadows from creasing. Hope this helps!
