I feel sad too that they didn't have Becky go to college and make something of herself and Darlene ends up getting pregnant I feel to keep the show interesting. Kids who go to college, become doctors etc... isn't as interesting and kids getting married young, getting pregnant etc... Also Becky in the episode Aliens finds out there's no college fund which makes it hard for her to go to college, so getting married just seems easier. That's true life. A lot of people live with that. I did.

At least darlene was responsible enough to resolve the issue with her parents unlike becky. its true that its a show but alot of the messages and themes are real and reality is much more than that. but if it were me i would think alittle more of the consequences before having sex just saying. i kinda feel like the whole situation was handeled a bit lightly. i mean david has a job but what if he didnt u know.

I just gave birth to my first baby on December 7 and yeah, I can say that I had NO IDEA what I was getting myself into lol. And I had PLANNED it!!! From pregnancy to having a new baby, it's quite a wild ride. Yeah, I really thought I knew everything there was to possibly know, but experiencing it is way different. And I hear it just gets better LOL But how lucky I am to have learned such amazing lessons...

Darlene was not a slut. She was a character played very well by Sara Gilbert. This whole show showed the trials and tribulations that the average family went through in the 70's and 80's. Get real and remember this is just taking a light hearted look at life! Just name me one show on the air at the moment that is as real and as funny as this.

Great show. Groundbreaking for its time but boy it jumped the shark when the whole basis for the comedy edge - their continuous struggle to make ends meet - was lost on the lottery win and this episode was a huge anti-climax. Don't know what she was thinking

Many shows jump the shark when they bring babies into the picture. I'm not saying that babies are a bad thing, but they're a sign that the writers are running out of ideas. Many shows have died shortly after such "blessed events."

It showed how important family is through the hard times and the easy times. Then they won the lottery and it was a whole different show.

Marriages that occur simply due to pregnancy arent built on the right foundation and often end up in divorce, usually because they were too young and weren'tr eady for marriage let alone a baby anyway. Having a baby is fine but not a good enough reason to marry. Marriage should be about compatibility.

For Years Darlene came off as very uncaring and not very likable but glad they had her become more real and more compassionate. After a while it was getting boring watching her spout wise crack after wise crack. Too bad they waited this long into the series to have her become more human..

Dan did die from his heart attack. So Roseanne wrote a book to cope, all the events of season eight are are part of her book.

He doesn't die in the show. He has a heart attack which he recovers from and they separate after they win the lotto but in the final episodes they show signs of getting back together. Maybe you got confused though as he is out of the show for a chunk of series 9. Honestly, he really does survive.

Depends on how long ago she had her child. If she had her child relatively recent, she will have stretch marks in and around her midsection, maybe some excess skin, etc. If she had her child more than 5 years ago, probably no effects.
