I do not think Beth has the slightest chance of medaling in the 2012 Games. The up and coming kids have far harder tumbling, dance and supperior choreography. I'm not even sure she'll place at Worlds this year

@Gymnast861 Yeah because all the judges in London with be British right and we are so popular in the world..Many gymnasts are doing those leaps now...
Its amazing that she can win a championship without really dancing. This is tumbling, leaps and a few choreographed arm movements but no real dance. A floor champion should dance in my opinion. However, I think its true that someone shouldn't be able to win without powerful tumbling either. I don't see her becoming a dancer, so she's doing a great job maximizing her potential without dance ability. I hope that we see champions with both dance and tumbling abilities in the future.
in my oppinion dancing is not gymnastics. yeah they do need to get from a to b without walking but i still see no point in it. in beam for instance they are always doing some random crappy dance moves and personally i think it ends uo looking tacky.
Well, I think that it's a great achievement. She's the only British woman who has been on the International circuit and won some of the "big" medals. The dance reminds me a bit of the Romanians.
@MrZaack That's exactly my attitude! She's a great gymnast, but I think that people only rave about her because she is from Britain, not a powerhouse country like the US or Romania.
@MrZaack It's the fact that she's only doing three tumbling passes, compared to the usual four, and still getting enough difficulty so she can win gold medals. That and her age and injuries. She's got a huge problem in both feet which means she can only land forwards in her tumbling passes to minimise impact as her bones are constantly chipping. Besides from there isn't anything special. It's not captivating, just inspirational.
shame the camera's so far from the action,lovev watching Beth,

@Dransters83 Spot on! She actually didn't even qualify for the finals at the 2010 Worlds.
Particularly I think this is a good thing, since I hate this routine.

@thiagosimoes84 haha, not a fan of it either. Beth needs to focus on her bars if she wants to keep medaling

this is a horrible routine....the leaps at the end of tumbles suck. she will probably still win gold in london 2012 because of biased judges...

@Gymnast861
so thats why china won then because of biased judges. No they won because of skill and gymnastic ability.

@kms4092 She still has more dance that Alicia Sacremone, Vanessa Ferrari and
Shawn Johnson, all who have won the title before Beth.
