This movie was incredible. I found the creativity extraordinary beyond all measures it really takes you into a brand new world and gives you the feeling that the Na'vi and Avatar's feel in different and environments. Plus the way they made this movie is a new revolutionary way to give actors a way to feel the CGI Characters there playing but not use more then voice but emotions as well. When the movie ended in theaters my friend got up to leave but I stayed and watched the credits - Thumbs up

I'm sorry but all you people bitching about the "unoriginal" plot really need to get your heads out of your asses. Coming up with *anything* original is almost impossible in this day and age. I agree, this film is best for its effects and it's a great example of the creativity of an alien world. The plot wasn't original but I did like the fact that it played on your emotions. I saw it in 3D and it really made the world come to life and I loved the forests at night when everything glowed like you said.

To people saying the best picture Oscar should have gone to Avatar - really? I think its obvious after 25 years, that James Cameron knows how to make cool movies, that all have at their core a solid love-story, and he constantly pushes the envelope of visual-effects, since THE ABYSS (1989), another classic.

Of course given that, I think we all should have guarded optimism. I love the first Matrix move, and look how the other two turned out *winces*. Still, James Cameron has been able to deliver, let's all just hope the 'Curse of the sequel' doesn't strike Avatar 2 and 3. Off the top of my head I have no idea where the story will go, which makes me more excited.

I think its obvious after 25 years, that James Cameron knows how to make cool movies, that all have at their core a solid love-story, and he constantly pushes the envelope of visual-effects, since THE ABYSS (1989), another classic.
AVATAR. I just adore this movie, and yes, I wept. I wept...

Yeee!! I can't wait.
Of course given that, I think we all should have guarded optimism. I love the first Matrix move, and look how the other two turned out *winces*. Still, James Cameron has been able to deliver, let's all just hope the 'Curse of the sequel' doesn't strike Avatar 2 and 3. Off the top of my head I have no idea where the story will go, which makes me more excited.
