My last flight was with U.S. Airways. A delayed flight, lost luggage, and a rude flight attendant made this the worst flying experience ever. The 1st two were tolerable but a flight attendant yelling to a sleeping passenger, "did you not hear the 'Fasten Your Seatbelt' announcement?" was the breaking point.
@DeltaAirLines777 Delta Air Lines is nice, and I wish it all the best with its merger situation with nwa, but I could never support that airline as it is not a member of the Star Alliance. Whenever I fly within the US, it's always with United, Continental, or US Airways.
Delta made a big mistake merging with NWA. I hope none of the other Delta Pilots are reading this because I could get fired for this. You're right some of the Sky Teams Airlines do suck big time some airlines Including delta cant get out of Star Alliance or Any other Airline because they were the ones founding the alliance. That's why Delta's is still in Sky Team. They wanna really get out but they cant!
Don't worry, in my experience 7 out of 10 USair employees are assholes. With this kind of business the airline should be out of business in no time at all.

My husband just boarded a flight and asked for assistance lifting his bag into an overhead bin because he has a herniated disk in his back. The stupid flight attendant said that she had a 'bad shoulder' then laughed in his face and walked away!! We will NEVER book that airline again.

So we waited another 5 hours, and then got on the flight. To top it all off, we got NO Food, Had to pay for pillows/blankets, and had to sit with the other passengers from flights that had to leave...... (Oh, and lets not forget when we taxied, we had to go back because the pilot threw up... Same.... O it will be ten minutes sir crap too.)
Amen Nalts. In April, my family and I where on our way to a funeral in Ariz, with a US Airways connecting flight through South Carolina. Well, sure enough, the plane was delayed 6 hours, sue to some mechanical problem. then they said it would take all night, so we got to stay in the dumpest hotel I've ever stayed in.
I have been a member of Useless Airways Dividend Miles program since 1985 (Piedmont Airlines - THE BEST!). During a heavy travel period I accumulated nearly 1 MILLION miles. These miles were earned when they DID NOT EXPIRE. Recently I was faced with a corrupt foreign government seizing my passport for a year - could not travel! I won a 1.5 MILLION settlement. Since Useless Airways has forfeited my Dividend Miles, they will not get $1 of my now VERY frequent travel! KARMA sucks, doesn't it??

Airlines aren't required to provide ALCOHOLIC drinks in a delay!! They are only to provide basic human needs after 3.5 hours, so you missed it by 30 minutes....but you got the free drinks anyway so what was the big deal? You just used this as a reason to get attention...

As far as schedule and cancellations go, you can't really say there is a leading airline. However, I like the fact that Southwest has a large variety of destinations with flights going direct from small cities to small cities.

I travel from Madrid up to Philadelphia and then in another plane up to Phoenix, so much going and return with US Airways and it did not have any delay. My opinion of this trip was, that is an excellent airline

Extremely bad experience to fly with them. I was left out to stay overnight without my luggage and they wouldnt cover ANY of my overnight expenses. Customer service was very unprofessional, I had to wait on the counter while they gentleman and the lady finished flirting with each other. I am NEVER flying US Airways again.

I think that you may be exaggerating here. Every time we delay you, it's because were trying to keep you safe. Especially weather delays. I once got a "free round trip voucher" from them-- Fat chance. It's really only worth $200 of a flight; whenever I've tried to use it for a free flight the dates are always "restricted".

US is no different than any one of the MAJORS (carriers that CAN TAKE YOU places where people need to be). I am flying with US airways from syracuse to Philadelphia to LA...I am sooo screwed. And on the way back I go to Phoenix to DC to Syracuse...shit....I usally fly jet blue but this is a school function so I couldn't decide...(Going to Australia/New Zealand)
My brother was flying back from Israel and when he got to DC the airline said that there was going to be a delay because their flight crew hadn't arrived yet (the crew was switching planes). A few hours later, they said the flight was canceled because of weather...so they wouldn't have to pay for these kids to get a hotel room. My brother wound up in the airport for 26h without his luggage, toiletries, etc. He said that after a while, his buddies managed to cheer him up by making jokes about it.
So they get up the next morning and go to the airport, go to the desk, nothing so far. So they go sit down and later they go back up and the lady gets all irate and says, "I had 10 of you scheduled to fly out at 4 this morning! Why weren't you on the plane?" My brother's group all did spit-takes, wtf, and o_O and said they heard nothing about this phantom flight, but to no avail...so back to the hotel. So my brother finally gets back home 2 1/2 days behind schedule and his luggage is gone...

I had fallen asleep halfway through my flight and was still asleep when the plane began descending for a landing. I woke up to "AN ANNOUNCEMENT WAS MADE TO PUT YOUR SEAT IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION!" I was shocked and embarrassed. The lady next to me looked over at me and said, "wow, he was a complete asshole, wasn't he?" My baggage was lost also during that same flight. I now pay a little extra to avoid U.S. Airways.

I have been a member of Useless Airways Dividend Miles program since 1985 (Piedmont Airlines - THE BEST!). During a heavy travel period I accumulated nearly 1 MILLION miles. These miles were earned when they DID NOT EXPIRE. Recently I was faced with a corrupt foreign government seizing my passport for a year - could not travel! I won a 1.5 MILLION settlement. Since Useless Airways has forfeited my Dividend Miles, they will not get $1 of my now VERY frequent travel! KARMA sucks, doesn't it??

FUCK! i flew on u.s. airways for the very first time yesterday for my flight from dallas to miami. so i was making my way to dfw and i get a call from the automated machine saying "your 11:40 am flight to charlotte douglas international has been delayed 70 minutes, thus canceling your second flight to miami out of charlotte douglas. were sorry we will keep in contact for further information about your missed flight to miami.''. i knew since that happened that they pretty much suck!

Airlines aren't required to provide ALCOHOLIC drinks in a delay!! They are only to provide basic human needs after 3.5 hours, so you missed it by 30 minutes....but you got the free drinks anyway so what was the big deal? You just used this as a reason to get attention...

Are you kidding me? Do you work for Us Air or something? No complementary drinks is an outrage! There aren't any other airlines who charge for drinks and wouldn't you say that the airlines are actually making a little money from the enormous drop in fuel prices?
As far as schedule and cancellations go, you can't really say there is a leading airline. However, I like the fact that Southwest has a large variety of destinations with flights going direct from small cities to small cities.

I travel from Madrid up to Philadelphia and then in another plane up to Phoenix, so much going and return with US Airways and it did not have any delay. My opinion of this trip was, that is an excellent airline

Never fly USAir Problems not-weather-related forced an unscheduled stop in Denver 12 and ½ hours inside this airplane !! Extremely bad experience to fly with them. I was left out to stay overnight without my luggage and they wouldnt cover ANY of my overnight expenses. Customer service was very unprofessional, I had to wait on the counter while they gentleman and the lady finished flirting with each other. I am NEVER flying US Airways again.

I am a pilot with US Airways. This seems like a lot of bull shit to me. No captain, other than the retards with jetblue would go through with this kind of shit. I think that you may be exaggerating here. Every time we delay you, it's because were trying to keep you safe. Especially weather delays. How would you like us, if we took you into that hurricane, and killed all 132 passengers. Then everyone would ask why we didn't delay the flight. Get a life, pick on Delta or Southwest, they need it.

I once got a "free round trip voucher" from them-- Fat chance. It's really only worth $200 of a flight; whenever I've tried to use it for a free flight the dates are always "restricted".

This video is totally RIDICULOUS! I fly all the carriers except one....Southwest (hell, I don't even consider them an airline). US is no different than any one of the MAJORS (carriers that CAN TAKE YOU places where people need to be). The general public likes cheap, really affordable fares and this has contributed to a lower standard of customer service. If you aren't paying a FIRST CLASS Fare, why in the hell should YOU or I expect Top Notch service? As for Southwest....."I'd rather drive..."

low cost fares CANNOT support today's airline industry!!!!! why do you think the tug broke? because there were no parts available in stock, and even if there were, the 10 dollar an hour mechanics don't fix it because they gotta pus planes (understaffed). why did it take an hour to find an available pilot? because they cant afford to keep enough on hand, nor do they motivate (pay) their current pilots enough to make it worth their while.

I am flying with US airways from syracuse to Philadelphia to LA...I am sooo screwed. And on the way back I go to Phoenix to DC to Syracuse...shit....I usally fly jet blue but this is a school function so I couldn't decide...(Going to Australia/New Zealand)

My brother was flying back from Israel and when he got to DC the airline said that there was going to be a delay because their flight crew hadn't arrived yet (the crew was switching planes). A few hours later, they said the flight was canceled because of weather...so they wouldn't have to pay for these kids to get a hotel room. My brother wound up in the airport for 26h without his luggage, toiletries, etc. He said that after a while, his buddies managed to cheer him up by making jokes about it.

So they get up the next morning and go to the airport, go to the desk, nothing so far. So they go sit down and later they go back up and the lady gets all irate and says, "I had 10 of you scheduled to fly out at 4 this morning! Why weren't you on the plane?" My brother's group all did spit-takes, wtf, and o_O and said they heard nothing about this phantom flight, but to no avail...so back to the hotel. So my brother finally gets back home 2 1/2 days behind schedule and his luggage is gone...

I had fallen asleep halfway through my flight and was still asleep when the plane began descending for a landing. I woke up to "AN ANNOUNCEMENT WAS MADE TO PUT YOUR SEAT IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION!" I was shocked and embarrassed. The lady next to me looked over at me and said, "wow, he was a complete asshole, wasn't he?" My baggage was lost also during that same flight. I now pay a little extra to avoid U.S. Airways.
