That is a difficult claim to make and scientifically we can't actually claim that. It's quite difficult to know what the health effects it has on the human body. Toxicity test apply a certain objects into mammals and see how much of that object is needed too induce fatal injuries. Alcohol do I even need to provide examples cause their all around to see, same as tobacco as well, in fact even water has a toxicity level easier to reach than marijuana and nobody in history has died directly from it, you can decide which is safer.
@ToniBJam1 It depends on the individual themselves as well. Certain people would be more prone to health risks for alcohol for instance such as diabetics. It very much would depend on who the person is that we are talking about. Saying so generally that one is healthier than the other, like you did, isn't accurate at all. Also, when you light a lighter you are actually causing thousands of chemical reactions to occur so this part of the health risk depends on the chemical composition of the air

The point of me saying this is to say that you shouldn't just assume that you know what you're talking about and that anyone else who has a different opinion is an "ignorant viewer" as you put it. @ToniBJam1 We can also look at the impurities in cannabis and the chemicals often used on them to make them grow. Most of the cannabis smoked, at least in the US, is grown illegally and is not controlled by an institution or the FDA. The chemicals and the amount of each chemical are going to differ from different plants and different growers. Some may be better or worse for you, we don't truly know. Even with controlled pharmaceutical drugs we can't claim the things that you have said.

hemp paper will turn yellow, just slower due to a lower percentage of lignin. Plus most paper besides news grades have the lignin chemically removed so they won't turn yellow anyway. plus hemp paper still needs to be bleached, which is more damaging to the environment than cutting down the tree. im a paper/chemical engineer i make the stuff.

Hemp needs to be legalized. It would help it here in America to get us out this pretty much depression. There would be one hell of a lot less violence & angry people. I have smoked pot once in my life, seven years ago. Haven't smoked/used any other since. You also fail to write anything about non-smoking but using of THC... I don't think you have the right to tell anyone not to, but it is self-righteous jerks that resulted in the prohibition in the 1930s which killed more people than alcohol use, and the current "drug war" is nothing but a continuation of the same imbecilic policy. @chickenppox i smoke pot every once in a while and i can assure you that it has not impacted my life negatively in anyway whatsoever, im a senior in highschool and my grades have not been affected at all, i have a 3.7 gpa. it helps me calm down whenever i get stressed out. and yes it is a mind altering substance but if thats the case than anything that is mind altering should be made illegal, things like coffee, oxycodine, morphine, energy drinks etc. should we eliminate these things?

I agree with pretty much everything in this series, but I have to contradict a few things. I say this as one who has used on and off for 53 years.
1) I'm a guitar player, and while using once after a long time of NOT using, I can vote yes on enhanced creativity. However, not only does daily habitual use fail to achieve the same effect, it causes you to lose any desire to play at all without weed. It takes a few months of not using before a natural interest returns.
The best way to turn this around, is if the American people protested like the way Lybia did; but every protester has to possessing cannabis. I like to see the US jail hundreds of millions of people. It may not work but at least the dumb fucks of corrupt politicians know we will not stand around; we will fight!

As for adverse side-effects like schizophrenia, I'd say that's more likely caused by the chemicals they use to grow the stuff. If it were regulated you could have a safe and reliable product that has been flushed of all chemicals. And you wouldn't have to worry about it being laced with harder drugs!
Maybe the reason alot more lives are ruined by alcohol is because it's legal and much more accessible? If marihuana was legal there'd be at least as many lives ruined by smoking as of drinking.

Hemp is a nightshade, meaning some of it's closest relatives are hops and tomatoes, a fact well documented in the fossil record. IE: Not from outer space. There are a large and diverse number of other plant species in which sex is apparent. It is not an uncommon trait for a plant from earth in any way, and can be observed everywhere plants are found. It very much would depend on who the person is that we are talking about. Saying so generally that one is healthier than the other, like you did, isn't accurate at all. Also, when you light a lighter you are actually causing thousands of chemical reactions to occur so this part of the health risk depends on the chemical composition of the air

@ToniBJam1 We can also look at the impurities in cannabis and the chemicals often used on them to make them grow. Most of the cannabis smoked, at least in the US, is grown illegally and is not controlled by an institution or the FDA. The chemicals and the amount of each chemical are going to differ from different plants and different growers. Some may be better or worse for you, we don't truly know. Even with controlled pharmaceutical drugs we can't claim the things that you have said.

hemp paper will turn yellow, just slower due to a lower percentage of lignin. Plus most paper besides news grades have the lignin chemically removed so they won't turn yellow anyway. plus hemp paper still needs to be bleached, which is more damaging to the environment than cutting down the tree. im a paper/chemical engineer i make the stuff.

@chickenppox i smoke pot every once in a while and i can assure you that it has not impacted my life negatively in anyway whatsoever, im a senior in highschool and my grades have not been affected at all, i have a 3.7 gpa. it helps me calm down whenever i get stressed out. and yes it is a mind altering substance but if thats the case than anything that is mind altering should be made illegal, things like coffee, oxycodine, morphine, energy drinks etc. should we eliminate these things?

I agree with pretty much everything in this series, but I have to contradict a few things. I say this as one who has used on and off for 53 years.
1) I'm a guitar player, and while using once after a long time of NOT using, I can vote yes on enhanced creativity. However, not only does daily habitual use fail to achieve the same effect, it causes you to lose any desire to play at all without weed. It takes a few months of not using before a natural interest returns.

As for adverse side-effects like schizophrenia, I'd say that's more likely caused by the chemicals they use to grow the stuff. If it were regulated you could have a safe and reliable product that has been flushed of all chemicals. And you wouldn't have to worry about it being laced with harder drugs!
