  • He is awsome. Reminds me of my little devil.i am rainbow lorikeet moonwalk and laugh on you tube

  • That's great. You're obviously a kind person. I apologise for my rash judgement. I just recall my neighbour having a cockatoo in a cage all its life. It wasn't even wide enough for it to fan its wings out on its single perch. it sat there all day staring out squawking at the wild cockatoos. They clipped its wings & took it out of its cage for the first time in about 15 years. It died of a heart attack straight away. So cruel & sad. Good on you for being kind.

  • @expatozzie1 Thats ok, I hate seeing the big birds in "cockie" cages too. but todays owners are much more savvy about their birds and so many let them have free run of their homes and they lead lives that are filled with fun activities for the body and mind as well as love.

  • I thought Lorikeets were a protected species and cannot be caged, that's the case in Australia I believe. I'd rather see these birds fly which is what they were designed to do, not be caged for the amusement of humans. I have two sitting on my balcony now that I have just fed. There is now way I would want to lock them up. It's cruel.

  • @expatozzie1 Lorikeets are not protected. Also Olive was saved from a pet shop where she had been attacked by other birds. She sat at the bottom of her cage for 2 years a gibbering blob & had to be force fed. It took 5 years of of love and a strict routine with no changes to have Olive to be the bird you see in the cage in the video. That cage was her security as she was agoraphobic To set her free would kill her & that would be cruel. You really should get your facts before making judgement.

  • @expatozzie1 also many parrots love interacting with humans and most are well loved, given free flight around the house etc. Most if they get away, will usually return to their owners. Why would they do that if they would rather be free ? My other parrots come back, they love their aviary and they get in lots of visitors in my bird friendly backyard from wild birds. But They make it very clear they do not want to be free. I also enjoy all my wild visitors & have no wish to cage them

  • @expatozzie1 whats cruel is people's like you that make shitass assumptions....

  • If i want to shock my Lorikeet 'Billy' I play this over n over lool
