I just completed the game but after the "The End" screen appears telling me that I unlocked a new area it asks me to save so I press X till it tells me save completed without show me the slot when I want to save) and I can't save, I press circle and I go back to the intro and when I load I am back to where I was before going to defeat the dark genie, what do I have to do?

P.S: In another slot my bro has completed the game and I don't know why but the Demon Shaft is already unlocked in my slot

It does somewhat yes. Master Utan is in Dark Cloud 2 and mentions "another one of you humans was here awhile ago" reffering to Toan. Also, the Blue Atlamilla still exists in Dark Cloud 2 and belongs to the girl main character, Monica. Also, this is only my speculation but Monica's father King Raybrandt seems to resemble Seda, as well as the castle they reside in. Finally, there are two moons in Dark Cloud 2, however one is destroyed at the end of the game. Hope this helps.

First ally you get, I think it involved a transormation potion to turn that cat you saved into a cat-girl. Been a long time since I played the game, so memory is a bit foggy, though.

Well, if you go all the way back to Toan's first duel, when you emerge victorious, Toan still loses the duel because of a blast attack from his opponent (forgot the name, been too long ^^'') that he purposely blocked to prevent a cat from being killed. You could say that Xiao is basically following Toan around because he saved her life, sorta like any cat will be with whoever feeds it regardless of who the person is. But I'm not the best person to chat with about theories of this game.

When I bought my PS2, I got a free demo disc with it and this game was on it. Of course, because it's only a demo, the furthest I got was B6 in the first dungeon xP

I remember the dark genie being a fat guy though, howcome in one form, he was partly human (I just assumed he was controlling the body of Seda or using it) and in another he was like, a big monster dog thing. Anyone mind explaining or do I gotta watch an entire playthrough? T_T

The Demon shaft was cool except the monsters where you had the lift and you go up 100 floors through a tower and you'd find the Black Knight Crest which is my favourite Item in Dark Cloud history. The Black Knight himself looked pretty cool. But, I like the Black Knight Crest better because it won't attack you though it does serve you.

Okay, you have 100 floors in this level. First, you have the Fire levels which last for 20 levels then it will change to the Ice Levels which will go on to Floor 40 then there is the Wind floors which last until Floor 60 and then there is the Thunder floors which will go on for until Floor 80. Then, there is the Holy Floors which go on for until Floor 98. Floor 99 is basicly plain. But Floor 100 has the Black Knight Pendragon boss. Defeat the boss and the Ultumate Sword will come from the light.

Then allow me. The real Dark Genie was possessing Flag Gilgister the whole time. The fat genie was actually a rat that accidentally fell into the real genie's urn.

I'm quite positive that Flag Gilgister was possessed.

His eyes glowed red, and when Flag's body broke, he didn't feel it, so he left it and tried to possess Seda Raybrandt again.

We know that the Dark Genie escaped when the rat fell in the urn. But because the rat took Genie's body, Genie needed to find a host; a rich one that could hire enough people to break the seal.

Genie never did get a body. When he tried to possess Seda, he killed himself. The final boss is genie possessing past Seda.

I do. And acctually it was a Mouse because a mouse is light grey and a lot shorter and in the Underground Channel there were the real rats. Not just that, The Dark Genie said before sinking into the dark ooze that he was immortal and will be reborn and every time he dies he will come back and also, the Fairy King rumours that the Dark Genie would come back but not in a long time after the prievious defeat. So, I've been thinking that this is what happene and he was behind Griffon all along.

It's found out that the fat genie was only a rat that the Dark Genie lent its powers to for some reason, I forget. It's basically just a smaller version of the Dark Genies power.

From what I understood through my trip through the game is that Seda could travel through time too and in the future(Toan's age), the dark Genie already left Seda's body into someone else's(since Seda died or something).

All I know is that this game is epic, and it'll always have a place in my heart next to Ocarina of Time and other classics(Final Fantasy's)

Also, I think that the cat in the ending sequence is actually the cat from present time. The future human Xiao should still be somewhere.
