This dude sucks. He is NOT a good rep for Bujinkan training. He's some idiot kid who got some high kyu rank or a shodan or nidan probably and sucked beyond words with his "skills." I don't know about his teacher, but at my dojo he moves about at a 9th kyu level maybe? God, Hedgehogey, I'm glad you owned this clown. He's what, 18-21 or so? What experience can he bring to the table at all in terms of martial arts????? Dirt Ninjer, you suck.
@patrickhenrysghost No. It doesn't. I've seen martial arts across the board that were good with just plain crappy practitioners. It doesn't matter. People have to realize the ultimate responsibility is on the student. I assure you there are good practitioners in all arts....Bujinkan included. To say there are not is to say that is to say all martial arts suck. I cross train regularly, does this mean I think Buj sucks? No. I just happen to enjoy JJ and FMA. As for youngsters, this one does not.
this man needs to be jumped and shown what people will really come in with, and also what wil happen to his face and/or ribcage if he blocks like that
Wow, this looks really cool!!! Does this guy have a school somewhere where I can learn his wisdom or do I have to travel through the drainage system of suburban Austin to find this master? I really really really want to become a ninja. There's this bully at my school and he gave me a swirley last week and I think it would be so cool if I could ninja his ass.
The guy sounds like the stereotypical anime fan in high school who was in love with the sound of his own voice. He probably got all his crap from Naruto...at least I hope no one is training in that kind of stuff for real. Nice job, Hedge. Is this guy STILL a ninjer?
hmmm I also noticed the lack of prime physique, I should think a ninja teacher (or whatever) should be in pretty good form. And how come their practicing in the middle of the street in the burbs... so many questions.
They dont know WTF there talking about.Iv talked to people who used distance learning vids and when they went to a real ninpo dojo they did EVERY THING WRONG!!! i dont think they ever have
been in a Dojo AT ALL!!!!This is a PRIME example of a NINJER nOOB!
his basics are all wrong thoug. basics are used to build lower body strenght and require getting really low. you don't use them in battle at all. but then again he did get his ass whipped which proves my point.
Not only that but he said it all at the end, ninjitsu is not about "territorial piss matches". If you watch the videos he is clearly being very nice. On the flip side the BJJ player is being nice as well, not taking the easy armbar and going for a simple back-choke, but, the boy in blue's opponent isnt even trying and doesn't seem much to care. Why are you other "fighters" taking it so seriously?
He did a very good explination of the basic consepts of jumanji and ichimanji. people critisise him for trying to teach some basics to a few friends, but you have no reason to. Yeah he lost to the other guy who showed up and challenged him to a match under HIS rules not the ninja rules. I dont see any reason why he should have faught back, the challenger was just an egotistical jerk looking to start a fight. Keep practising your teaching earth ninja and I'll see you in class.
Wrong. He lost under a ruleset of his own creation. The only thing that Hedge asked for was no biting. Because your boy hasnt been tested for blood born disease. Which is a fair concern. Your guy asked for no face hits and was welcome to whatever ruleset he wanted.
He consented to the match. He consented to the video. He shook hands afterwords and let his students spar. What exactly is the problem?
actually I've learned quite a bit from the same teacher as this fellow, I've got a bit of experience in japanese jiujutsu and kendo, however I enjoy taijutsu much better. I've sparred with two people against me a few times while they tried to overcome me with handcuffs, and I was able to overcome them pretty easy. Let's see your BJJ do that.
when you play music for the first time, are you gonna wanna play at a bar, or maybe you'd wanna practice a little bit before hand, get a couple lessons in or something. It takes time to learn the motions for your fingers to learn guitar, it takes effort to learn the most effecient way. Now if I were to teach you guitar, I could play really really fast, and mock you when you can't seem to pick up the tune, or maybe I can slow it down, and play it at a pace you can understand.
I think he did a very good explination of the basics of jumanji and ichimanji. I see people critisise him for trying to teach some basics to a few friends, but you have no reason. That's not fighting. More completely compliant opponents! Not that practice partners should be totally resistent when training, but there should be at least a simulation, or acknowledgement of resistance. I'm just preaching to the choir here, I know. But, GOLLY!
This is like a microcosm of the early stages of a martial arts cult. Flash forward twenty years and this guy is handing out the three-year contracts and camo-coloured belts.
well bujincult isnt bujinkan. though im sure many "shihan" feel as such that the art is fine with weak training. not all of us are like that.

Sweet Jesus! That is some serious shite!
Hedgehogey was far to nice to this pretentious prick. This guy's instructor should be ashamed.
"Ninjutsu... is about winning, and real fighting." Did he say that shite before or after the choke?
