  • hello hickok45, what about shooting a swiss army rifle, such as schmidt-rubin carbin k-31 or the sig 510 and sig 550?

  • great video!

  • I didn't think that you could follow a bullet when it was super sonic.

  • Its like playing Jinga

  • i'm surprised you didn't just kick over that ram on your way up. i can see you're trying to be coy with your bitter enemy.

  • its cool you can see the sonic boom around the bullet

  • this is awesome

  • I can do 200 yards max, good shot!

  • I played around with the M14 mini at a local gun shop. Even that thing was so cool. I really want to get my hands on the full size.

  • just like knock out, that old game from the 1990's. But with an M1A instead of some cheap busting tool.

  • You hit that accurately with that heavy rifle free hand...? You sir just gained my shooting respect.

  • From the standing, through iron sights at that range it takes some skill to hit as consistently as that. There are professional soldiers in my unit who'd struggle to achieve that from a kneeling supported position through the x4 on our SA80 rifle. Good shooting Hickok.

  • nice!!

  • this is why i laugh when people hide behind wood walls and car doors during gun fights in the movies

  • @VAbackpacker Because they are fake as hell lol

  • 250 yards converts to a little over a 10th of a mile. Damn good shots.

  • Mr. Hickok, tear down this wall!

  • Thank you. Great post.I trained on this rifle in basic and AIT during my hitch in the Army. A powerful, accurate and Very Dependable weapon. I was bummed when these were collected and replaced by the sometimes very temperamental M16. I miss my ole M14. Hey Hickok45, I'm thinkin' about the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle as kind of a scaled down, more managable replacement for this weapon. Wutcha think?

  • You sir have caught a very interesting phenomenon on your video. It shows the shock waves of the bullets as they travel to the wall. I didnt notice it at first but then I seen a ripple in the air and then a wall hit. It is possibly seen on all shots but I noticed it after the last tracer was fired. Congratulations!

  • Dear people saying his accuracy could be better,

You are stupid. He is shooting at 250 yards with iron sights. He is standing up and just shooting to see what happens.. Stop being so damn critical and take it for what it is. Oh and just because you can shoot a sniper rifle on COD, that doesn't make you a marksman.

  • 21:50 It missed and STILL put a hole in the wall. Even when Hickok45 misses...he hits.

  • the power of the 7.62..love that round and the m14

  • did anyone noticed the beautiful area hickock lves, btw ^^ nice vids man, greets from germany ^^ a lower gun law here would be nice xD

  • love your vids man. This one at the moment is my favorite. YOU TOOK DOWN A WALL!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!

  • Always enjoy your videos !

  • i love that wake that you can see behind the bullet

  • Note to self a block wall at 250 yards Vs. a 7.62X51 NATO round isn't a safe hiding spot! Holly hell that is awesome!

  • Awesome video man!!! I have always woundered how effective .308 was agianst a cinder block wall. After seeing the video of an AR hitting cinder blocks it made me curious. LIKE YOUR RANGE SET UP TOOO!!!!!

  • Hickok45 is the truth!

  • With my tax return on it's way I've begun the hunt for a new rifle, and I'm wondering how similar this round (7.62X51) would be to a Mini 30 round (7.62X39). Would it have similar penetration at the same distance? I have a feeling the 7.62X39 would be a little less effective at that range than the 51. Any help is appreciated, and thank you in advance to you that do!

  • @kryp10yt Im sure you already know this but the 7.62X51 is the same as the american .308 only the round produces less chamber presure. I own an SKS that fires the 7.62X39 caliber round and I love it. The long and short of it in MY opinion is if your wanting LONG range acuracy that get the 7.62X51or .308 but if your never gonna want to reach over 300m than get the 7.62x39. Cheaper to shoot, less felt recoil as a plicker, and still has more stoping power that an AR chambered in .223.

  • @motorcycleguy451 BTW 7.62x51 is compatable in with a rifle chambered in .308, but if you are going to go the other way around(shoot .308 out if a rifle chambered for 7.62x51) youd better ask a gunsmith about the chamber pressure and whether your rifle will handle it. IMPORTANT

  • @motorcycleguy451 Get a rifle in 7.62X54R for long range shooting.

  • I like how the vapor trail was visible, and how you stuffed bottles of mystery liquid into the cinder blocks! Great demonstration of the m1a and its ferocious fire power ! Another great vid by Hickock45.

  • m16 Block Wall at 250 Yards ,do it

  • Hickok45 should be a gameshow host....Lets see whats behind wall Number 1...A Terrorist!!!!!

  • @4:07 he made the playboy bunny.

  • would have been interesting to have put a paper or steel target behind that cinderblock wall just to see what happened to the target

  • It's certainly one of my favorite videos...though I just watched your video on the Socom 16 and I have to say, it's convinced me to pick up an 18.5" M305 (Norinco...I'm in Canada) instead of the full length model. Now if only my permit would show up so I can do some shopping. Also, thanks for your excellent 10/22 videos. Between you and Nutnfancy it helped me decide which rimfire to pick up aswell.

  • @RReVoRR About your M305, expect a 4MOA gun. Also expect the front sight post to be skewed to the extreme right or left. It may be a good idea to save up for a better M305 unless you can get a good deal on it (I paid $400 for mine in the full length version)

  • @RReVoRR Also, try checking the top black plastic part on the top of it to see if its tight. I would recomend looking into getting a USGI compliant bolt and perhaps a better stock if need be

  • @TheIamfrustrated I figured it would never be a tack driver, but 4 MOA is pretty disappointing. I had no idea they were that bad. I was hoping to at least use it for hunting down the road...but I guess I'll just use it to mess around with under 100 yards, more like 50 yards. They're still around the same price for the long gun...$450 for the shorties. They say don't drive your heroes...maybe the same is gonna be true of shooting guns. Thanks for the heads-up.

  • @RReVoRR YW, sorry I scared you that bad, but I know you can dail it into a 1MOA gun if you play around with it some. There is a manual that hte US Army made on how to accurize the M14 into a national match rifle. Follow that and I think you should have one hell of a tack driver

  • @RReVoRR I'll let you know how it goes

  • this was filmed in ky right?

  • man... this and your Elmer Kieth tribute video are TOP. Imagine what you could do with a decent scope on that bad boy.

  • I saw some complaints about aim but I personally don't think its that bad think about all the sights he switches with in each video sometimes atleast from personal experience some shoot a little lower or higher and sights can take a couple shots to get use to but I'm sure he was having more fun that focusing on aim at time as he said he had to slow down aha nothing gets your adrenaline going when shooting a nice fun piece I think he d had a easier time if he Keeled from personal experience.

  • Hickok, That was awesome shooting! I did not realise how far you was shooting until you walked all the way up their. That sure was some distance! I loved the 2 camera simultaneous set up - If you do another vid like this, can you please have the second camera pointing at you from behind/diagonal to the target as that would be pretty sweet. Thanks

  • MOAR TRACERZ

  • i'd like to see you do a comparison of the .223 .vs the 6.8spc .vs the .308 on that wall..after all.. that's the big debate in Iraq/Afghanistan ..the shortcomings of the .223 in the AR platform once again...hence the trend towards piston driven platforms and a heavier round.

  • I'd be interested to see what a Mosin Nagant would do at that range.

  • @lukewilliams010, Above all, be honest! Now, go back and watch the video and listen this time.

  • @lukewilliams010

if u can hit it with a pistol lets see it

  • @lukewilliams010 He's standing up with that heavy rifle, but the groupings could be better.

should have shot from the prone or even kneeling.

  • @lukewilliams010 O really you can do better with a pistol huh, ok big shot prove it. And if you put lets say 6 rounds in a half dollar grouping ill say you have better accuracy

  • @lukewilliams010 pls post a vid to us............250 yards with pistol and better aim then hickok45

  • he is a blood

  • I love how you can see the vapor trail. I love everything about this channel.

  • i wanna see you shoot some solid bricks. that would be cool

  • You're shooting FMJ right?

  • @Composer1777 8mm

  • In 1000 years some future geologist is going to be wondering about the unusual lead deposits on that hill.

  • @charlesvan13 No shit ammunition manufacturers are going to be fighting over his property when he passes away. there must be 5 tonnes of lead in that hill.

  • jus shot this today and it was great!

  • I do believe that wall is bleeding...

  • how did i get to semi-automatics while i was searching for lever actions?

  • keep up the good work

  • Love your video awesome rifle i would like to see this with the Mosin Nagant kep up the good work

  • @Composer1777 google bitch

  • Strangly enoughh this is quite nice, target fun

  • I like that little house to the left of you in the beginning, now I know where to picture you in the future vids

  • Nice video. Eye opening in terms of what can and cannot pass for cover when one is being shot at.

  • You should do a wall shoot with a Mauser K98k. I am currently deployed to Kosovo where the odd Mauser will turn up from time to time, and I have trouble convincing some of my buddies what a powerful rifle it really is. It would be much appreciated thank you!

  • awesome! makes me want one. Great video, thanks uploader!

  • what dripped out of the wall on the first hit?

  • you can accually see the bullet cutting through the air

  • Comment removed

  • and to think this gun can shoot 5 times further at maximum range

  • navy seals killed osama he comes back as a zombie and hickok kills him.....sweet.

  • Open sights at that kinda distance is great. The tracer rounds were highly noticable to. Good video

  • is this range in virginia? it looks very familar to one ive gone to once or twice

  • VAPOR TRAIL IS EPIC

  • I was talkin some smack, before I saw just how far that wall was.........

  • i don't want no teenage queen all i wants my m14

  • @PBcontractKill3R Ho Chi Minh's a son of a bitch, blue balls, crabs, and the seven year itch

  • This was another excellent video. I'm a sucker for being able to see long range tracers and bullet arc in real time. Big John did a great job capturing both. The second camera setup by the wall was really cool as well. Up close destruction, and a lesson in physics (snap of the bullet, followed by the lower pop of the report).

  • love your vids Hickok45!! Nice touch on the liquid between blocks!!

  • You can hit a plate with a handgun at 230 yards so why did you think with a rifle you couldn't hit that huge wall?

  • @semiautoriflelover1 he was experimenting with the damage it would do?

  • Seems like with the black sights, a white or red wall would have been easier for you to shoot at and get a good sight picture.

  • Odd that people complain about the fruit but not the cinderblocks.... That's good building material sir!

  • @tartredarrow, Yep, actually, I find it rather odd that anybody complains period about what someone chooses to do with ANYTHING that he purchases. I think it's usually the same people that think they deserve a "fair share" of other people's money. :-)

  • @hickok45 damn commies! better dead than red! :D

  • I thought you couldn't shot 308 from 7.62(description), even though the rounds are nearly the same. Did you say the wrong caliber?

  • @xmmh

7.62mm = .308 inches. Typically you can shoot .308 winchester safely. However, you might have some problems reloading or cycling sometimes. Or maybe I have it backwards? Guys?

  • Good aim Hickok! Best fun on You Tube. Discovery Channel - Call your office.

  • feel free to disregard this comment-

could you do a "wallshoot" with a mosing nagant or lee enfield?

  • Very cool video! loved the tracers, and i could still see some of the rounds that weren't tracers!

  • Whoa! You can see the shock wave of the bullet in mid air!

  • Hi Hickok!You are the best!I liked this video.The other,that the M 14 my favorite gun!!Thanks Hickok,it was magnificant presentation!

  • why don't you respond to your subscribers and others commenting on your videos?

  • @aFullPoopSack , WEll, let's see - 500 videos, 100,000 subscribers, hundreds of PMs, maybe thousands of comments a day. I can't imagine why I can't get around and see every comment and write a well thought-out reply. :-) Down right rude of me, ain't it. :-) Read the profile.

  • @hickok45 I know man. I just wanted to say that cause I knew you would respond. just makin sure you're still hanging in there gramps.

  • @hickok45 Yes and you should be ashamed of yourself....lol

  • @hickok45 Amen.

I do thoroughly appreciate you answering any questions I have ever asked you, I know you get thousands of them You're a good guy Hickock :)

  • @aFullPoopSack You need to learn to read

  • you're awesome

  • I'd like to see 7.62x39 vs cinder black wall too :D

  • awesome video, but don't most cinderblock walls get filled with concrete? i'm just saying :D

  • mkay xD

  • nice shooting

  • Hey hickok45! just a simple question, how long have you had your m1-a? how did you come by it? and how much did you pay at the time? if you dont mind my asking :P. Great video! Keep up the awesome work! cheers from canada!

  • Mr. Hickock, you stated you were using NATO rounds. Are those the ones with the green tip? I think I saw Tnoutdoors due a short video on this amo. What is the difference with these? thanks

  • I know you get alot of comments but I would say ya need to run a few more walls in your line of fire....very fun video.

  • Why did the wall bleed @ 2:11? BTW Hicok please shoot a Luger :)

  • Comment removed

  • @omgiTsmeJon Tracers are the bullets that make a stream of light behind them when fired.

  • The close camera shows the bullet impacts before the muzzle blast reports. No chance to duck...

  • My My, you use glasses and still can shoot at that distance?? Myopia ?? 270 yards with prescription lenses??Great!!

  • Is it the uploader in this video?? Sir, are u a Korea or Vietnam vet??Seems so..Well, you are in excellent physical form, and yes, the "Spreading the wealth" sarcasm was the first thing I noticed in the info.....Do you mean "that guy"?? Lol..

----Anyways, it's easy to see what this NATO round would be doing to Viet Cong helmets at twice that distance.

  • never know when a buddy might need a window opening in his wall do you? Nice shooting.

  • LMAO

In the lower right hand corner of the screen at 0:01.

Is that an ADT security sign outside of your house?? LOL you dont need that i can assure you!

  • Awesome gun

  • Hope and change Rofl.

  • Nothing like cinderboclk sallad care of a good ole fashiond M1A. Good fun

  • wow, how do you even see the target from where ur standing??

  • Wow, that 7.62 Nato made mince-meat of that wall. Cool!

  • Well done, Hickok! Encore! ;)

  • A seal friend of mine told me years ago that he loved the M14 because in Vietnam they could shoot right through trees to hit the enemy.

  • Remind me to never hide from Hickok behind cinder block wall.

  • did you put soda bottles in the wall? atleast i hope thats what the redish pink liquid is coming out of the wall

  • @4everUSNavy -No, that was a zombie.

  • @saints360row Even better

  • jesus powerful

  • nice shooting and ...beautiful gun

  • hmm, thats a pritty good grouping for shooting while standing up, are you a korean/viet nam war vet?

  • @98765432123456789000 No he is not.

  • NICE When you blew that whole in the wall on the right the shot after that went into the same hole on the right nice

  • What's the white stuff that comes out of the wall? :o

    Is it crushed stone?

  • God, I wish I could get my hands on an M1A..

  • just check out the last thing @andrew98205 favorited, i dont think he's a serious member of the firearms community.

  • i shot my uncles socom 2

  • LOL I see the ADT symbol in the garden. You don't need that, just have a picture of you with a gun pointed at the camera saying. "I'm HICKOK45, and I have a range of weapons to hurt you with!"

  • Hey Hickok, can you make a vid about what the difference is in a rifle and a gun. Many of my friends don't agree with me :(

  • I can hear cars going by

  • 12:00 video editing FTMFW! lol

  • god i have little retards who think they know about guns because of call of duty.....i play it yes but ive been shooting since i was 6 and i know the power of guns and how to shoot and its not like call of duty where when you point the gun it hits what ever you aim at.....you have wind, gravity, the temperature, moisture in the air many many many things that alter a bullets flight path but good shooting man

  • Just of curiosity is that the standard m1A or do you have the upgraded match or super match model?

  • Benelli R1 3006 300 win mag or the.308 which would you pick?

  • @mopar66m What are you using it for? If it's just for target, .308 is cheaper, I'd go with that. If it's for hunting, I would take the .30-06, will easily drop anything in North and South America. Based around that, I don't even see a pro for the 300WIN Mag.

  • that was like 39 or so out of 56-60. id say thats alot better than just good! haha. I hope that one day i could be as good as you hickok. Ive probably watched like 25 of your videos just today!

  • Notice that he has ADT. My question is who needs a security system when you have 100 guns laying around?

  • Hey Mr. Hickok,

I love your videos, keep em coming! But what were those rounds that you were shooting in the beginning? You may have said but I can't use sound on my computer right now, Thanks

  • @NoobCall he said the first 7 or 8 were tracers

  • @imabeast990 Oh thanks :)

  • @NoobCall yea no problem

  • soooo You'r the one who kill osama :)))) Nice! Greetings from Serbia

  • Whoa. Honestly, I had no idea what the hell I was seeing at first. I couldn't believe I was actually seeing the bullets flying downrange and 'heat trails'. can't recall ever seeing those in a video before.

    Commendations!

  • That was cool!!!!!

  • That was FREAKIN AWESOME!!! I mean I know, everyone knows that the .308/7.62NATO is a powerful round...... but DAMN!

    Thank you sir!

  • Wow that was some darn good shooting. At that distance standing with irons you decimated that wall! Really fun video to watch. I loved watching the tracers in the first part. Really great vid! Thanks.

  • 13:22 HEADSHOT!

  • I love how you can see the heat trails off each round as they go downrange EPIC!

  • you dont fuck with a marine and his M14

  • @krll48, I agree.

  • @hickok45 im very interested in how the ak and ar 15 would result in the exact same test :)

  • @hickok45 i agree as well. sure Games can help keep gun rights. but i do get tired of everytime i watch a video of lets say Band of brothers. and My brother would say "how can he not hit that guy". i always say to him "you have never been shot at have you"

point is shooting its just point and shoot. Great video man

  • I"ll huff, and I'll puff, nah I'll just break out my M1A. lol Always enjoy your videos.

  • you can see the vapor trail on some of the shots

  • hickok i thought you were not military? how did u get tracer rounds?
