  • Please, where is possible photo Jetfoil at full speed?

  • Regular high-speed waterjet driven ferries have replaced almost all hydrofoils.

  • Actually, the speed is enhanced due to less water friction because the hull is out of the water. Twin turbines were used because diesel were to heavy for the horsepower needed. The hull has sensors which guage the adjustable height to keep the vessel out of water. A laptop computer is all that is needed for operation. System may seem complex but is not. Maintenance is easier and requires very little dockside support. The front and rear foils can be raised for shallow operation.

  • can that boat like topple over?

  • are these more fuel efficient compared to regular displacement hulls?

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND i don't believe so... thats why you don't see to many of them. Think of how much power it takes to get something like that out of the water. Also when they are up out of the water they are not very maneuverable.

  • @ragnotgizmo Not true. You do not see many of them because the systems necissary to keep the boat upright are quite complex and add costs beyond a standard hull. Hydrofoils are also quite maneuverable - try searching for the Talaria hydrofoil for instance. Fuel economy is often equal or better than non hydrofoil for a given speed due to the lack of wave impacts (i.e the hydrofoil can use less power to maintain a given speed).

  • @WildPartyFest Remote control doesn't count as a real boat.

    is BOEING 929 JETFOIL

  • where do we get? do you have any idea how most goods cross oceans? they dont fly, this type of technology could be developed for faster movement of cargo world wide. now is that a good enough reason to try to develop such a thing?

  • Where do we get at all if we build not technical machines like this?

  • i have to ride this
