Well I know they're in the collection. I came here because I saw the trophy for getting them, but I don't remember them from the PS2 version of the game.
Are they new for the God of War collection, or were they in the original?

If you had the sense to look at the date this vid was uploaded, April 6 2008, then you would have known thyat this was from the original GoWII game, not the collection
I wasn't trying to be a smart ass, and I apologize if I came off that way. I always check the descriptions of videos, but it just didn't occur to be to check the date added.
It's the originals with trophies, so I like it. I don't notice a huge difference in the graphics, but it's been a long time since I played GoW I and I'm not giving it a side-by-side comparison.
It's worth the $40 to me, if for no other reason than to support Santa Monica Studios. God of War is one of the best franchises I've ever played, and I've played quite a lot.
Got Assassin's Creed II at the same time as the collection, and only about a week ago, so no. I plan on getting them in good time, seeing as how they are relatively easy, so you don't need to put me in touch with people,

Yeah I am afraid there is. I did not know of it until fairly recently either. Who would have guessed there would be a hidden lever in a hidden room? Wasn't sure if it was a *spoiler* but I had never seen a vid of it so I thought it best to "share the wealth".
It makes the next bit Sooo much easier. I still managed to die when a lava bubble hit me though.

Were these chests in the original God of War II, or just the collection on PS3?

Trophies don't mean a whole lot to me but as a TUGOWU vet it would be nice to have all the GoW trophies.
So tell me, have you platinumed both titles yet? If not then I might be able to help you get them or put you in touch with people that can.

Now that I saw this, I totally have to agree with 3Ionn O_o I NEVER knew there was a lever that made the spiky things disappear -_- What a pitty XD

RotT usage at the end was pointless but that fits your way of doing things. A wasted TS or two along the way is good for lulz generating.
NOTE: I went through a lot of videos and made EDITs. Mostly just listing the Artist/Song used.
