  • Wow...1993, when I flew the 747-200C.

Good times, very nostalgic with the LanChile 707, and Varig 747. Amazing shot, Amazing quality, kudos to you.

  • God look at that 707!

  • that Varig departure was awesome

  • The Hawaiian L-1011 and Korean 747SP...fantastic footage...the sound of the old jets...doesn't get better than this...

  • i would love to have this on a dvd sincerkly steveion

  • Sweet vid, I like the SP and 743.

  • Varig 747 had the slowest climbout.

  • @MrPhucdatbich you could hear it was also quite a derated takeoff by comparison.

  • @superskullmaster Indeed, however they were the only one with CF6's as well so I don't know if that's a fair assumption to make, but I still think that I'm pretty sure I agree with you, these aircraft are unfortunately of a bygone era that I didn't happen to experience. :(

  • @MrPhucdatbich Good point about the CF6's. The JTD's are louder and more unique.

  • the Singapore Airlines cargo plane skidded off Changi Airport Runway in Singapore that day. Lucky nothing happened to it..

  • The venerable 747 will be flying into mid century very likely...

  • awesome video, i love 3 engine-jets ;D .... so sad that today, most of them aren't flying anymore :/

  • NiceVideo:) I <3 Mexicana!

  • The 747 at 3:05 needs to lose some weight :P

  • Thank you for sending me this video !!

Each aircraft is better than the other !!

  • MTOW for the Korean Air 747-400

  • Awesome video! I wish I could get this close today, sadly only imperial hill and the in n out spot is my only choice. Kinda sucks....

  • the plane at 4:50 seemed really heavy

  • Korean 747-SP????

  • Gotta love the Varig on it's way to either Tokyo or Rio loaded with fuel and pax eating up that much runway.

  • wow!! the sound of that Korean Air B747-400 compared to the 747 classics is sooo different!!!!!!!!! It seems so quiet!! Yet by today's standards the 747-400 is regarded as being quite loud compared to the 777, a380 etc.!!

  • I live right by ohare, i see this like everyday, except not so close.

  • Ahh, the good old days.

  • L1011 Tristar!

  • how much time is their between each takeoff?

  • This was happening when I was at LAX during the recent Santa Ana winds, We landed and took off in these directions.

  • Another great Ryan, late 80's through mid 90's has to be the best time for spotting at LAX and spotting in general with he mix older and newer equipment operating. Good catch catching that HA L10, that thing almost always went out heavy and used lots of runway most of the time!

  • is that video from this year?

  • @grego5701 Your kidding right?

  • @grego5701 you're stupid

  • I love that sound of the 707.

  • Great video!!!

  • That DC-10 sounded just like the one I captured a while back! This is one great upload my friend! The JT9D has to be another favorite engine of mine!

  • SQs B742Fs were rare back then.

  • Hmm, did that chile 7 oh have the outboards in TR for taxi? I think id seen other JT3D powered 707's do that now that i think about it

  • I think I miss the L1011s most of all...though I loved seeing that LAN Chile screaming in!
