CAllas fresea una excelente armida sin muchos adornos pero sin salirce del genero en si es increible las cualidades dramatica de esta mujer

How this could not to be recorded in studio!!We have lost the only true dramatic coloratura Armida. If we had only this short piece, we could imagine an inimitable art of Maria Callas. Can any one ape her in the voice expression, you can FEEL the fury, fear, resignation etc. Goddess of dramatic art.

Armida is just dicsovering her lover has decided to leave her for ever. Her heart rivers between fury and sadness and resignation /you can hear it in Maria`s voice and expression/.

Apart from that somehow pushed high C sharp in the cadenza, this is an amazing way of appreciating Callas' wonderful voice, technique and stylistic bravura during her "fat" early period.
