Damn, this is the kind of music that reminds of how hip hop used to be. Running to the record store to get the latest release. Albumns didn't DROP back then. Yes I am THAT old, 47 and proud of it. Trying to get my son to get hip to this. Waka Flaka and Lil' Wayne don't do it for me.
@mb6085 dude im 15 and i love this song i agree the majority of music put out today is garbage, but cant really judge everyone's got a different taste.
I'm glad it's underground... most people don't deserve to hear this.... God you kids need to shut up! Is Dre's 2001 whack because its mainstream? I think not. So if you have that little of faith in these artists to believe that they would sell out if they got popular is just plain stupid. And to say people don't deserve this??? Music like this changed my life for the better, I can only hope others spread this music and break the zombies from the mainstream. Peace
This song is so great. Love it. If only I woulnd't have had my music collection stolen from me by one of those christian cults in southern TX. should have stayed on the east coast
HIP HOP AND TITTIES!!!! Glad I got your attention - every1 - I draw massive inspiration from this type of music. Heads, PLEASE feel free to peep my beats/rap tracks on my channel. ANY feedback VERY MUCH appreciated!!! PEACE
@blackpowerkid87 Maybe it's someone whose memories bubble up when hearing this song. Because it brings back old feelings they don't want, they dislike it.
I bought this about 2 years ago at Best Buy, Took a chance with it cause I just read the titles of the song and man oh man did I find a gem, the CD wasn't even in its right spot....I think god guided me to this. lol no but seriously this opened a million new doors in hip-hop.
a very real track, with very real rhymes... love the line, "ill meet her again....i cant meet her again, i gotta leave her alone and never see her again"
so many girls out there that dudes just need to never see again.
With everything we could say about the industry, the point is, piracy will destroy an independent's career.
We want to thank everyone who actually invested in this group and helped it [to] its last breath! We owe you so much! That's why Stro and I will do our best to carry on our solo careers and work together when possible.
But.
The Procussions have been inevitably shipwrecked, blows taken in the lower deck from the most fierce of all pirates.
Wow I just tripped over this by accident totally feeling the vibe. Thank you for youtube otherwise I would have never have heard it. This is going on my to get list for sure. Until then I'm just gonna nod my head from side to side. xx

Corporate Radio has adopted a "pay for play" philosophy, meaning that only the large corporate record companies can afford to get their artist's spins. The Corporate Record Companies only look to artists that they can control, and almost forces them to produce songs with copy-and-paste beats and hummable hooks that mainstream America is attracted to. As for Lil' Wayne, the dude's got talent. Unfortunately, he is a Corporate lap-dog, doing whatever it takes to make money. Screw him.
Did you actually just say lil Wayne has talent? You know how out of place he would be if you put him in a rap off with people like Common, Mos Def, Big Daddy Kane?
Sorry, what I meant is that he has talent compared to some of the other artists in the mainstream today (and I don't count Common or Mos Def as being in the mainstream). If you look at his songs subjectively, as most heads find it hard to do, his lyrical ability isn't bad. It's not great, but it's not bad. Lil' Wayne, as much as I hate him, can spit a pretty tight verse from time to time.
Also, the issue is not good vs. bad. It's not corporate vs. underground either. It's sell out vs. staying true. The reason they don't play this on the radio is not because anyone thinks Lil' Wayne is better than the Procussions, it's because Lil' Wayne makes records that are catchy enough to sell to the uninformed. People get too caught up on what's good and what's bad, what's mainstream and what's underground. If they sell out its not hip hop, plain and simple.
This is a great song, it spoke to me in times of much need. LOL. Sometimes we got to leave her alone. I love this group, I wish the radio would play their music....
This takes me back to my freshman year of high school.
