I have driven the manual version of the 1993 Land Cruiser, and it is absolutely an awesome vehicle to drive. It is a very heavy vehicle, but with the Manual transmission delivers a very good power for its size. I drove it to Virginia Beach for the weekend with my buddy. The amount of luggage, and stuff you can store in that car is absolutely amazing. However, the vehicle is a nightmare on gasoline, it cost between $78-$90 for each fill up!

so many toyota fanboys here,i like both but the best landcruiser is the 80 series it has amazing axle articulation(although not as good as the range rovers) and a full set of diflocks plus ultimate reliability making.but i would still take the rangie.

@specops3866 mate for proper offroad majoroty of 100 series r ifs and that destroys their potential otherwise i would completely agreey if u get the live axle 100 series then yeh spot on but otherwise the 80 is still better off road
lol Toyota's been ahead of Land Rover in the 4x4 department for a long time. How old is the FJ now? Not to mention LR's can't go more than a few yards wihout needing fuel and repairs.
Excellent video, yes the Toyota Landcruiser/Amazon is the best off road vehicle in the world, much more reliable than the the rubbish Land Rovers/Range Rovers.

There's a damn good reason people pay more and drive the 4wd's that they do.
You can't argue with the sales figures either.
Anyone in africa or australia will soon tell you there is only one brand of 4wd to buy.
