The "faces" that are in every map and on most of the rocks are due to the fact that Halo 2 gets its textures from a certain file. This file has textures implemented into it, and they are "wrapped" around the 3D models in the game.

Bungie may put these "faces" into the game without knowing it themselves. We'll never know, but I'm just trying to clear some things up for you guys with some facts so that you'll all be able to decide whether it's a subliminal message or not.

You will see a big smudge on its face, but look carefully for the duck's body. You can partly see its face and the horns on its head. This is related to the picture in Zanzibar in Halo 2.

I think you may be confusing coincidence with reality my friend. All I saw was that a lot of these "subliminal messages" are caused by symmetry in the objects placed on the map when they make the game. The "faces" on the rocks are an example. One side of the rock is the flipped over duplicate of the side of the rock making up the other half of your face.
