my idea of a "sub bass" synth would be something with a tuned 808 style sub destroying boom as heard on virtually any bass track with a variety of attacks & decays like "thump".

so far all the bass synths i've heard are pretty much like this... more minimoog than 808. this synth seems better suited for techno than bass to me

@tokeypon Ask any musician or record label how. Back before people could steal any song off the internet, musicians made a lot of money by selling records/cd's, and did reasonably priced shows. Now people steal the music (though they wouldn't walk into a record store and steal a record) and they don't just copy and give it to a friend they put it up as a torrent on a searchable database. People WOULD buy music if they COULDN'T steal it and want it bad enough. It's killed the talented musicians

@Adeptmind im in the same boat as dervish. i crack as much stuff as i can because if i didnt. id be broke. vst's are way overpriced. and i make wonderful music with the programs. beatmaking keeps me busy and out of real trouble with the law. so why discredit someone about stealing from a multi billion dollar corporation, thats obviously currupt judging by the price on the products....

If you can't afford it, then you should probably be doing something to increase your knowledge to get a better job so that you can. If beat making is the only thing that keeps you "out of reala trouble with the law" then clearly you aren't working with your spare time.
