@NeothehedgehogX Dark Samus doesn't really have much of a form outside of the suit. If you saw in MP2 Echoes, shes pretty much has a translucent skeletal form made up of energy from phazon, and the majority of her form is basically the suit itself. So, without the suit she would look really freaky anyways.

She is a human female, bounty hunter, and a professional bad ass. She is from the planet K-2L. She was orphaned during a space pirate raid, but Samus was adopted by the Chozo and taken to Zebes. The Chozo infused her with their DNA and raised to become a warrior. The DNA increased her athletic capabilities and also allows her to survive in some environments that would kill other humans The Chozo also gave her a power suit that further enhances her abilities.

this is just bare bones sammy. Plus, in 3, Dark Samus is different than in 2. She absorbed the Space pirates entire stores of Phazon, so she is also stronger than before as well.

2 different kind of games, same point of view camera. In reality comparing Metroid Prime to Halo is like comparing Halo to Super Metroid. Prime is like Super Metroid with a POV camera angle, and the major point of Super Metroid is not to have a death battle with the random enemies throughout the level. It's about upgrading Samus' suit, and figuring out the next puzzle.

Yes, Samus talks. It's just that, she's a mute in most games, just like Mario and Link. However, in the games where she DOES speak, it's just text but still...it counts. Oh and in Brawl, she actually speaks while doing her taunts but that don't necesarily count because Super Smash Bros. isn't canon.

I would avoid the term FPS with Metroid. First Person ADVENTURE is the genre they chose to call it. As a shooter, the lock-on pretty much destroys the main facet of it, though I guess MP3 has done enough for the FPS that it can be inducted into that group.

I was mainly objecting to the fact that that mohamud60 made Metroid seem like plagerizing Halo, when Metroid has been around longer. But there is no denying, that in the last 8 years, they are now unofficial rivals.

So? They still look like Clone Troopers from Star wars. Metroid Prime is more a Rip off from Super metroid. Also, Prime was planned as a trilogie from the start. You see that at the 100% Ending of Prime 1 and 2. Halo wasn't.

Also Master Chiefs talks in halo, the first time Samus said a word was in Meroid Fusion, before Prime, so they left her dumb on purpose.

And the greatest difference: Halo is a FPS, Metroid is an Action Adventure.

That fact that Metroid has been around far longer than Halo proves that it was not a rip-off. Some facets of Echoes, such the multiplayer, I guess where designed to keep up with Halo but Nintendo wisely kept it out of Prime 3. The two may have become unofficial rivals, but not in the same way that Sonic was created to rival Mario.
