  • this brings back alot of memories for me, Singles was a good movie! great find

  • the best part about listening to this music is all the songs on the sidebar are just as bitchin as this one and i get to listen to them all

  • ...Why have I not heard this pure awesomeness before?

  • great band!

  • [Insert generic comment about the Good Ol' Days here.]

  • is it just me or does the singer look like jim morrison?

  • @iwannagosurfing139 'cept he's not boring or on 4o hits of acid

  • thanks for posting. had it stuck in my head and had to listen to it about 6 times to get it out enough to get back to work.

  • Fuckin 90s rule.

  • @castingtherunes

I'm with you all the way there sir.

  • @KevinSchweikert your name kind of sucks

  • I find it amazing that there's a conversation about the weather going on in the comments section, rather than three or four grown men having an Internet fight about whether Justin Beiber or Mark Lanegan would win in a dick swinging contest.

You guys are both credits to the species. Keep talking about the weather in your respective locales.

  • @SwordOverCentralia trees and lanegan fans are typically really awesome people generally speaking.

  • thanx for post it.. great grunge voice

  • i dunno why but other than this song back in the 90's i just could not get into this band. Probably because there were a bagillion other bands that sounded just like this.

  • Should i get Uncle A or Buzz Factory? I cant decide.. I most want Buzz Factory a lil more cuz Black sun Morning.. which is better?

  • god is a lesbian!

R.I.P. Kurt Cobain (the whole Club 27)

  • this isn't Mark Lanagan singing, is it?

  • @thekillers1stfan yessir it is the master lanegan

  • @bryt12693 wow his voice is so different when he sings "This Lullaby" and "Burn the Witch" for QotSA

  • That song was popular with a crowd of party animals who were regulars at the Rochelle Regency Apartments (Tamarus & Rochelle) in Vegas '92 and a pair of Screaming Trees boxer shorts was involved in a tug of war between the guys and dolls.

  • BEST SONG EVER?? POSSIBLY :)

  • if 9 people like Candlebox, then they love Grunge to the extreme :)

  • This is the studio version,,,another reference would be the "Singles" soundtrack.

  • Ellensburg, WA... ?

  • @deleonj I use to live there for a few years um, it's like a super rural area with one main downtown street that's maybe a mile long. Then there is some houses and schools around that :)

  • 9 people like Candlebox.

  • @RipTheSystem33 I like Candlebox..??

  • @andybirger Yah.. Whats wrong with that?

  • @RipTheSystem33 Candlebox were part of that scene. From Seattle, started around '90, the members grew up going to Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone and all the other bands concerts.

  • @RipTheSystem33 or they weren't old enough to remember the 90's, or have no taste in music!

  • When iam relaly wasted i can realy cut a rug to this noble song.

  • sounds like this song is about meth... but i'm not sure

  • :3

  • reverbnation /Sunnysidetheband

  • reverbnation /Sunnysidetheband

  • Complete solid album. Good work.

  • The 8 ppl that disliked this were born after the 90's.

  • 00's musically were a hangover after great (not al ofcourse) 90's rock rap even pop

  • Thx for the upload...A Great band!!! 1 of my favs

  • sweet

  • the 1 hit wonder band

  • Greatest band to get lost in the Seattle grunge mix.

  • mark's voice kind of reminds me jim morrison wich is pretty amazing

  • @deadpooln12 sounds more like mr. garrison to me.

  • shitty comerical rock

  • this song what's it about?

  • @lost4el It's about a drug user who's in a up and down relationship with a girl.

  • @lost4el nearly losing me

  • why does vevo exist? no one should watch vevo

  • @AdamSlezak3 2 fuck me up everytime I find a GR8 vid from an industry-free party.By the way,where does EMI stand(I've been "away"4 5yrs.)?

  • im so stuck in the 90s-but theres no other place id rather be!

  • @Dotson26

Me too ;) I'm also excited that Beavis and Butthead are coming back to MTV with all new episodes! Long live the 90's

  • @TheJurneyMan Wow!!! Yes!!! Hell Yes!!!

  • My favorite 90's band.

  • I love how this has better quality than the VEVO version. lol

  • @sirlegendhead It does&it's louder.I just started using a computer & I mostly listen 2 music almost xclusively on YouTube.I had no idea how insidious Vevo was until vids I liked were taken down 4 content violations. It seems 2 me like they've taken it up a few steps now.I remem ber in the mid-90's my friends at G.T.(georgia tech)bitchin' about paying 4 downloads 2 MP3's,no free access& REM giving access.I wonder what Katrina thinks now(besides the mortgage, another baby & her marriage)about Vevo.

  • Does anyone now where I can get a full length version of Layne singing this?

  • The 90's, in my opinion, was the best decade of music EVER!

  • @MelvinSmiley89 true that

  • @MelvinSmiley89 you should broaden your horizons then dude

  • @MelvinSmiley89 let's build a time machine and leave this depressing music age

  • @TakerDogg Oh blow me, TakerDogg. In fact, better yet, why don't you Tak 'er Dogg and let 'er dog fuck you while you're at it. Ah shit. You're too dumb to figure out what I just said. Screaming Trees and the entire grunge era was the perfect marriage of the REAL message of the Doors and Velvet Underground with the brutal honesty of the Stooges funneled through the major talent of the 90s to all the bullshit we are living in now, called real life.

  • @MelvinSmiley89 agree 10million%

  • @MegaTim46 Doughnut Guy, You Suck

  • @MegaTim46 did you hear that people? he insulted the greatness that was the 1990s

  • @19igotdonuts93 Doughnut Guy, You Suck

  • @MelvinSmiley89 The Grunge decade was the shit, none of the bullshit on the radio can hang with the 90's!

  • @MelvinSmiley89 You know your right (Nirvana

  • @MelvinSmiley89 no that would have to be the 80's

  • @MelvinSmiley89 here here..... i agree...

  • @MelvinSmiley89 Ah oui oui oui !

  • @MelvinSmiley89 60's and 90's 80 = gay pop

  • @abogabirmetal123 you=maggot gay

  • grupos de poca madre mother love bone-temple of the dog-sonic youth-nirvana-screaming trees-alice in chains-soungarden-pearl jam-stone temple pilots-mad season-silverchair-y muchos muchos muchos masss

  • Look at this grunge rock: /watch?v=m24Chv9wCdk

  • wow.. i'm instantly 12-13 yrs old once again, riding the bus with my headphones on.. (neat)

  • thank you upload guy,eat my poop vevo

  • reminds me of driving over the bay bridge ... richmond bridge ... the golden gate ... the transamerica pyramid ... china basin ... novato ... sonoma ... vallejo ... petaluma ... in 92 i was a refrigeration mechanic in san fran ... this track was everywhere that spring

  • Mark Lanegan is one of the best singers ever. Great fucking band.

  • Memories, memories...

  • so great the voice, guitars and drums its so cool it rocks out

  • this song really takes me back to the 90's I LOVE THIS AWSOME SONG

  • Awesome. Great voice....

  • blows my little mind

  • You should upload some Acrimony, Orange Goblin, Some Misfits shit and any punk shit would work, Descendents, Agent Orange, NoFX, Bad Religion, Reagan Youth, SS Decontrol, Negative FX, Mispent Youth, etc.

  • Sounds like Mike Ness from Social Distortion.

    Hah, fuck MTV.

  • Note to self: Start listening to more Screaming Trees.

  • You don't hear music like this anymore ... rip music 1950-1999

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa You're right, hahaha. Indie rock sucks. And all the good punk bands are from the late 70s, 80s and 90s. NoFX and Bad Religion still kickass. What are we left with as far as underground music? Christian Rock? Fuck that. Rap? Underground rap is the same as what's on MTV, of course they can write better verses, but the whole Fuck Bitches and Pop Guns message is still there. So. You're right. The fucked up thing is that I'm 14. And I know.
  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa no shit what the fuck happened?

  • AN AMAZING BAND. A must have for any fan of the good music.

  • The drummer goes to same college i do!

  • Screaming Trees was excellent band.

  • thanks for posting this ..i remember when it came out ...AWESOME

  • the singer of screaming trees looks like tom waits bastard son

  • oh i used to play this non stop .. just magical !

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • Well, you haven't truly lived until you've survived the mosh pit at an ABBA concert!! InSanE!

  • sounds like Jim Morrison

  • usually my mantra is "turn them bitches up", in this case this is no doubt cranked at more than sufficient volume. Rockin'.

  • One of the best songs ever made...I still remind the day I listened to it for the first time...I was like running to get a pen and write down the name of the band

  • (You know, I never had the opportunity, but Dad said she was good. Not really.) Glad to hear Roger's still got it. He was WAY underrated, you know...

  • mmm, been looking for this one a while.. seems some dope ass motherfucker finally uploaded it. Mark Lanegan, so pimp he was actually a friend of Layne Staleys.

  • @DaveS12382 This is embarrassing 2 admit but I only just found out Screaming Trees did this song!

  • @apokryphos117g dude, what are you crackers, I fuckin got it off your favoritesLOL

  • This song sums up that feeling of the'90's,anything could happen, did&we were ready! Foo Fighters playing down the block at Masquerade,L5P with an open-minded COMMUNITY of all color(hair&skin)and thought(very liberal though). You found your best friend at the pub doing laundry, not on facebook. You had more than 1 thing in common.I miss the land of Peter Pan.

  • @apokryphos117g I heard that, in retrospect they were magical times weren't they.

  • @DaveS12382 Yeah,definitely 4 music.Sure there was commercial crap(Backstreet Boys,In Sync etc.)it just wasn't as big-left 4 very young girls.You had more great music out there,grunge,alt.,rap electronica&raves.Imiss that I think there was a lot more creativity,kindoflikethelate '60'searly'70'(PinkFloyd's"Animals+"WishYouWereHere"2 Led Zep 2Neil Young 2 punk)Everything now has so much$ involved as the bottom line it's hard 2 be creative.

  • @apokryphos117g mm, Its all about the dollar now. It still was only half so in the nineties. Now its all about the buck and what sells to the teeny bopper market, that core of like 12-18year olds sucking up beiber and gaga. Fucking sad dude. If I had realized it then I would have taken more pleasure in the 90's knowing now what a joke state current music is. Oh well, fuck it I live in my own world as we all do, just saw Waters perform "The Wall" last sunday, and hes still got it motherfuckers.

  • @DaveS12382 What up with the comment you sent me? I act like I was an original member of Alice&Chains?I miss the 90's but even I'm into Facebook(Thanx Raquel)now.You sent me a totally different comment 5 mths.ago.And yes,since I was 16-20's I remember the nineties more than a 10yr.old would.I saw Nirvana in '91 (U were 9)in Montreal.My friend was a D.J.&I had access 2 a lot.Hell,only now I appreciate the 80's thanx 2 my "F.friends".

  • @apokryphos117g nailed it for sure the world has sold out to strip malls and chick jeans for dudes

  • @lothjosh lol...I didn't read the comment you were responding to, but that sentence was hilarious.

  • @apokryphos117g I love to do my laundry at the pub!

  • @rahagbab I always have, started at Igors on St.Charles in New Orleans. It keeps you young.

  • @apokryphos117g Amazing, I though I was the only one.

People think that it's particularly weird since I'm below the drinking age.

  • @rahagbab You are? Just how old are you?

  • @apokryphos117g 16, which is technically the legal drinking age in germany.

I tell you, man, the moment I stepped into one of those beer gardens I fell in love with doing laundry....

    and beer.

  • @rahagbab OMG,you're 16! So young! What are you doing in Germany&where do you live?I was born in New Orleans&the drinking age was 18 but changed to 21 after the feds withheld much needed money 4 highway funds.I've lived in N.O. on & off and I can tell you the funds were needed! I've lived in EUROPE(Greece mostly)& if you can fight & die in a war at 18,you should be able to drink.I prefer it there as I'm sure you do!

  • @apokryphos117g Well, I live in Israel. And managed to get to Germany through a foreign exchange program for students who excel in English. Me and my best friend were the only ones who were picked out of the entire school as far as I know.

Anyway, I've grown quite accustomed to beer and have been living with it for quite some time now.

Many kids in my country find a way to get alcohol, mostly by asking grownups to buy them. I personally find it more appealing to walk in and buy it myself.

  • @rahagbab I still can't believe you're only 16! The remark you made"finding it more appealing 2 walk in & buy it yourself really spoke a lot about your character. Hard 2 believe a 16yr.old could have so much insight.?,what are you doing in Israel? My mate has been there 2 visit family, closest I've ever gotten was CYPRUS 4 raves-weird but probably not4U The middle-east breaks my heart.A good friend BIBI grew-up in Lebanon but he is Palestinian.I have opinions on the situation but not here.

  • @apokryphos117g I was born in Israel and it's my permanent living arrangment. I hope to one day go to some place colder and more laid back, like Scandinavia or maybe even settle in Germany though I doubt I would enjoy living there permanently.

I'm quite pro-Israel, I think it's a blessing that there is a country in the middle east that is willing to climb out of the bog of intellectual repression and join the civilized world. It's a shame that many people don't understand our struggle.

  • @rahagbab ...but did Israel have to stand on the Palestinians heads to do it?

  • @ManOfGomau I think that you are overestimating the severity of the situation. our conflicts are a means of survival rather than propogating an ideology. We are the most hated and persecuted country in the middle east, just for being jews and always have been, and yet we've progressed more than any of them.

The U.S. pitched in, some might say, but you have to understand that Arab oil money matches the U.S. pound for pound, it's all a matter of how you use the money, you see.

  • @rahagbab I really don't think it's because the Israelis are Jewish, I think it's more the problem with the Gaza Strip. Didn't the Israeli president refuse to have talks about a Peace Treaty?

  • @ManOfGomau On certain occasions, yes we did refuse peace talks. But only when the conditions were to outrageous.

I hate to sound bigoted but the great muslim majority overseas is very antisemitic and biased towards muslim ideology. I praise those muslim who oppose these views but those who do not simply try to mask their contempt for the jews by using the Gazans as scapegoats, I can assure you.

Jews were hated by muslims for being jews since the dawn of time, you can check that out.

  • @rahagbab

if you really want to freeze your ass off come to Michigan.

  • @sakonhagakure I sure hope so!

But it has to be a good atmosphere, I don't want to be freezing my ass off, sitting on a bench next to an apartment complex or something, not that I would know how things are over there. Detroit is my only point of reference atm =P

  • @rahagbab

I'm from Lansing and I can tell you without a doubt that Detroit is a virtual shit hole. Hell to be honest you'd probably be safer in the west bank living next door to members of hamas than you would be in some parts of Detroit. (especially around 8 mile.) Well you'd probably see said neighbors if you moved to dearborn but i digress. There's a running joke here in Michigan that we have 2 seasons. winter and construction.

  • @sakonhagakure Good to know, if there's two things fucked up with Israel it's that A. It's in the wrong place, and B. you'll fry your ass off for three consecutive seasons. The only time that I find tolerable is mid winter.

On the other hand, we have some damn good beaches over here.

  • @sakonhagakure most of ohio is the same way. two seasons, winter and summer (or construction). and yeah seriously, there are some parts of the united states that probably rival parts of afghanistan in terms of level of danger and being a freaking warzone, for example, go for a walk after dark in some parts of youngstown ohio. well, don't, unless you have a death wish.

  • @apokryphos117g As a matter of fact, I do own a facebook account as well as a google plus account (obviously). Either way, I don't really stay in touch on either one, but I could use the extra company.

I only hope that you won't get offended if I don't reply to your comments right away.

  • @apokryphos117g

sounds good on paper but most 18 year olds are stupid when it comes to alcohol. (hell most 21 year olds are stupid when it comes to alcohol.) Back in the 80's it used to be legal for 18 year olds to drink but too many teenagers would get behind the wheel and drive drunk and wrap themselves around a light post or kill some family.

  • @apokryphos117g I miss the old L5P so much...

  • @vampirepepfizz What do you mean the"old L5P"? 1st,gangs in North Miami Beach & now L5P?It was a very special place 4 me.

  • @apokryphos117g that's because in 2001 our society closed

  • @satisfiction I think I am going to do a blog about that.I mean WHY?What happened?I feel so out of touch.

  • @apokryphos117g this has to be one of the best comments ever!

  • @ninnush Thanks 4 the comment!

  • Thank you v. much for this..

  • Best part of the Screaming Trees in some ways was you could always tell it was Barrett Martin on drums. He had a very distinct style - he tended to avoid the snare drum in a lot of ways.

  • @napoleonicstrike What do you think of his work on the "Madseason" album?
