yeah it was a compliment, like a cut scene from Resident Evil. You are using older tools and the modelling isnt beautiful, but the fact that you did all the animation lighting texturing makes it really nice. Ive done modeling, but never rigging and animation. The tshirt rip is impressive

@HRDINA1 the T-shirt rip is actually filmstripping in photoshop. i filmed the shot once with the t-shirt and an identical one without the shirt but i only filmstripped the shirt layer (removing it frame by frame and replacing it with an alpha channel hole that revealed the no shirt scene... it was very difficult. :)

@HRDINA1 oh... also Poser 5 has some really jacked up lights, I think the second close up shot of him, he "appears" to be wearing a black shirt as opposed to the red shirt- he's actually not... thats just bad lighting on a tight shot that cast everything in shadow. I probably should have color corrected it with layers :O)

People hate this video though, I cant really figure out why, maybe they were expecting Steven Speilberg werewolf transformation style effects from a guy who's not really working in the field? ya know FUR IS FRIGGIN HARD TO ANIMATE!

Anybody who thinks this was easy, attempt a werewolf transformation on your own and post your animations to YouTube, please ( and then tell me how you did it, ok?)

Well all i can say is its one of the most impressive POser 5 animation i have seen i didnt knew it could atleast render that good, i would like to have an advice from you digitalmckracken , if we need such a transformation n have some budget what would you suggest to do. thanks for your time in advance if you do reply.

thanks Mansh99. I'm kinda surprised that i've taken so much flak over this one video. Poser 5 (6 and 7) dont really play nice with werewolf transformations at all, getting the fur to grow and look good at the same time is damn near impossible. And lip synching is still a problem. Still, yes its got a really nice clean render... i still cant import my Poser models into MAYA or Truespace (grr!) so they are kinda "stuck" in Poser 5... but they work.

Since Poser 5 is fairly limited on "man transforming into wolves" and human fur to say the least, all that would have had to been dont manually, by hand.. painstakenly rotoscoped... i didnt want to take the time to draw in hair and fur and then animate it all.. that would have looked extremely crappy. i still insist tha the best way to do a Werewolf Transformation woud be the old fashion way... Live Action with fur and everything. i didnt have the budget for that.

i dunno why everybody came down so hard on this video in the first place. Apparantly the geeky pre-teen fanboy audience that craves "werewolf transformations" thought that this was a crappy example, and it is for a "werewolf transformation" its not what you'd expect, But for a fully rendered Poser 5 test animation I think it turned out fairly well and i liked it. granted he doesnt technically "transform" into a werewolf, but if you forgive that little ommission you might actually like it.

currently Timmy its not in production. I'm working very hard being a good little 40 hours per week temp drone for OSH in their Accounts payable department, its a fun job... a tough job and one that pays the bills, I've been drawing nightly in my sketchbook and riding my mountain bike 15.65 miles DAILY and boy is that hard!

yeah thats one of the limitations of Poser 5, great human... mediocre wolf... zero morphing. I would have had to do it all frame by frame... and well... its got well over 600 frames :Op

lol... yeah exactly... unfortunatly POSER 5 cant grow hair (at least i cant figure it out) and thats a stock wolf straight from the POSER 5 install disk.. so yes... i know its not a true werewolf or a true transformation.. to be honest it doesnt really "change" into anything... its a limitation of the program.

Indeed they are popular. it's really a shame we don't have enough female werewolf transformations-especially ones that involves clothes ripping. I love those! I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one who feels that way.

I'm just kinda upset theres no actual "transformation" at all, Poser doesnt really morph or change one model into another, and the wolf figure is very VERY limited in its motion. Perhaps I could render a female ripping off her blouse? LOL! I found a way to lenthen the hair but not to grow body hair like beards or fur on the arms and legs which really sucks.

yeah, I'de like to see some clips where her blouse rips as she grows along with her pants

and high heeled pumps with ripping effects with groans & moans as she transforms. I wouldn't mind without the hairy-ness if your having truoble. Maybe a roleplay poser( something with cause of transformation) Ive seen something like that before. Just uh...take your time if possible.
