I agree that we get a group of people together to buy the track and fix it up ( Safer barrier, Better fence, and so on) and try to get a nascar race back there. Also to get people to help tell them they get free vip passes to help.
such a beautiful track.... im not gona say who but a few NASCAR guys were gona buy this track from...whoever, fix it up and open it for small races or something slowly putting it back into the NASCAR view.... i used to work for one of those guys.....

Burton Smith bought the track and moved its two dates to Texas and New Hampshire. He didn't buy the track for the racing, he bought it so he could move the dates to his other tracks. Now that he has the dates he could care less about the track.
So does Paul still come to the track and mow the grass and such, seems odd that someone would pay a groundskeeper to maintain a closed track. All these videos still make ya sad that the track is just sitting.
He does a little grass cutting and such but it doesn't look like very much. I'm sure the funds for upkeep are very slim. He lives in a single wide mobile home right next to the gate.
It wasn't just Bruton. He wanted to keep it open with the prior owners help but they sold there half off and you cant run a track only owning 50% of it.
..........neither ISC nor SMI owns indianapolis, they cannot stop racing there as the market is to high, after the 2008 jaunt with the tires, it's becomming evident, THE TRACK WAS NOT BUILT FOR STOCK CARS!.
Fuck Burton Smith for doing this to North Wilkesboro. He needs to sell it already and let us reopen it and fix it up for local night time racing or Busch North Cars
