Well, I guess anyone can 'make music' on a laptop, in much the same way as anyone can learn to play Chopsticks on a piano, or a few chords on a guitar. Its a whole other thing to make music that people enjoy, and I think that's true of any instrument. I can appreciate the skill of playing flamenco guitar, for example, but I don't especially enjoy listening to it

True, but there's a difference between learning to play a song on the piano, and learning how to play one you looked at just now. If you think about it, with the many varieties of people, someone's going to like any kind of music, whether it genuinely rocks, or stinks. I guess it's just the thought of him using pre-recorded sounds and passing them off as his own, and of course he needs another song to remix.

Clear as day, a song's charm shouldn't be affected by it's environment. The fact that this song is only appealing at harsh volume in a club where everyone is befuddled doesn't help its case. @thenadnil The analogue/digital synth argument is completely redundant as far as I'm concerned; I've been making music for years and I call bullshit to anybody that says an analogue synth sounds better.
Secondly, whilst I appreciate the track and really like it; there's nothing on there that can't be done on a laptop.

yeah, and when you think about it an instrument is just a man made tool used to create sounds or music, so a "laptop" or the programs used to make the music (reason, fl, ableton etc.) is no less of an instrument than a guitar...

Well, I guess anyone can 'make music' on a laptop, in much the same way as anyone can learn to play Chopsticks on a piano, or a few chords on a guitar. Its a whole other thing to make music that people enjoy, and I think that's true of any instrument. I can appreciate the skill of playing flamenco guitar, for example, but I don't especially enjoy listening to it
I also think the debate is a matter of how people feel about change. Some people probably hated effects pedals for guitars.

True, but there's a difference between learning to play a song on the piano, and learning how to play one you looked at just now. If you think about it, with the many varieties of people, someone's going to like any kind of music, whether it genuinely rocks, or stinks. I guess it's just the thought of him using pre-recorded sounds and passing them off as his own, and of course he needs another song to remix.

seems to be a controversial mix!- I find this a well done re-mix and video - I do like the original best though! but the nuclear bomb image fits very well - and re- the cat with the 'kill all humans' - is that a domestic/house cat 'manifesto' that we don't know about? and should be concerned with? I mean, they probably would kill and eat us if they weighed a few more hundred pounds!

Im a sasha fan and everything. But Idk.... His invol2ver was well.... a bit of a let down =[ I remember when sasha would play great sets.... His avalon set was one of the best. Its a decent track, but it kinda sounds rushed, and unequalized.

Well, everyone's main complaint with me is (assuming) my speakers are of "piss poor pc" and i'm sober. You at least like Sasha for the right reasons and obviously aren't a member of his cult lol. Clear as day, a song's charm shouldn't be affected by it's environment. The fact that this song is only appealing at harsh volume in a club where everyone is befuddled doesn't help its case. Anyone can take a song, add countless beats to it, and parrot a single line of the lyrics to repugnance. The fact that this song was heard on computer speakers at home just means the song is heard for what it is. Shouldn't be celebrated, shouldn't be misconstrued as work, and definitely shouldn't be admired.

Like I said, if it was good it wouldn't depend on surroundings to entice people like it's supposed to. Bodily waste would be enjoyable to listen to when you're around 1,000 other people who are sauced and narcotized. Sahsa ruined this song & is inept for passing this off as work, which is evidently his only skill.

yes, they are an electronic group. however, they don't rely on laptops with PRE-MADE sounds to make their music. they actually pick up what are called INSTRUMENTS, as well as using synthesizers. but you'd know that if you bothered to do some research before trying to make yourself out to be smarter than you really are. and no. layering a bunch of stupid sounds isn't equal to an "amazing achievement." the only thing he's achieved is butchering a perfectly decent track.

I really tried to listen to this and like it, but truth is, it's not good. i don't know what you all hear that's so amazing. It's repetitive and has no climactic part what so ever. I read someone write that this track was the best track on the album; that alone gives me enough incentive not to waste my time listening to the rest of the album. The original version is infinately better. No doubt.
It really saddens me that the 8 minutes I wasted listening to this trash can never be regained.
