@Rabizzx this music was composed by Alihan Samedov . well, he is an Azerbaijanian. you may check it everywhere, dude. btw , the name of the music is " Sen gelmez oldun".
@Rabizzx : Read my comment above -- it will help explain the confusion of many people in The Republic of Azerbaijan. Ask me for citations: I am an expert in the field.
@Rabizzx ''Alihan Samedov he did great job but style of that music is pure armenian'' this is not an armenian music, this is an Azerbaijanian music as well as Alihan Samedov himself is Azerbaijanian. btw, most of the armenians think that mugam is also your music. I wouldn't be surprised if after several decades Armenians would claim that Azerbaijanis have stolen it either.
The song belongs to Alekber Tagiyev. Just the fact that Armenians like to listen to many songs from Azerbaijanian and Turkish folklore, shows how much Armenians were influenced by their Turkic neighbors throughout their history. The main instrument used is in this song is "balaban" (Azerbaijanian) and duduk (armenian).
@Rabizzx A Balaban is commonly used by both Azerbaijanian population in North Azerbaijan (modern Azerbaijanian Republic) and South Azerbaijan (Northern part of Iran, 2.5 times bigger in territory than Azer. Rep. ) How is it possible that Azerbaijanians living in Tebriz, Xoy, Urmiya, Erdebil and other cities of North Iran were culturally influenced by Armenians. Combined population of both Azerbaijanis are 35~40 million (based on the official Iranian statistics)
@Rabizzx However, combined number of Armenians around the world is 10 million. It is no way possible that people with smaller population can influence the one that is at least 4 times bigger. If you add Turks into this calculation, this makes number of Armenians even smaller in comparison. Frankly, with no offense but Armenians are small island in the Turkic sea.
@Rabizzx Thus it is quite possible that armenians were strongly influenced by the different the big number of Turks (Azerbaijanians and Turkey Turks) living around them.
@Rabizzx . Another interesting fact proving balaban`s Azerbaijanian origin is the fact the different variations of this instruments are commonly used by other Central Asian Turkic nations such as Turkmens, Uzbeks and Uyghur. Zurna which is a very instrument to balaban (I know you would say that’s Armenian too) is also played by other Central Asian turks. I suggest you should find music videos of Uzbek and Uyghur music and Khrorasan Turks in youtube.
The name Baku is derived from the old Persian names of the city باد-که Bād-kube, meaning "Wind-pounded city", in which bād means "wind" and kube is rooted in the verb کوبی kubidan, "to pound", thus referring to a place where wind is strong and pounding. Azeris are Persians. The ancient province of Azerbaygan is in the middle of Iran and Azeri was a Persian language before it was recently Turkified.
@NationofArmenia Its a wood instrument with many different variations, nobody can claim the clarinet either, same applies to this. Dont be so nationalist.
@SeaSnakeX My friend I am not nationalistic, but I think record is pretty clear. We have references to duduk in our history before Turkish existence in the Caucases. Armenians were Hurrians, called Harmani, H was not pronounced, so they said Armani. Its in no language, it is just a name. Azerbaijan means land of fire in Persian if I am not mistaken.
@NationofArmenia Hurrians are not Armenians friend. Armenians are Armenians, Hurrians are Hurrians. Turks are Turks, Anatolians are Anatolians. Lets not muddle these unique groups. Armenians speak an Indo-European language, Hurrians speak neither an Indo-European nor a Semetic language. Which makes many wonder how far their origins traveled to Mesopotamia where these Indo-European and Semetic languages are spoken (Arabic, Assyrian, and Kurdish). But in the end we're all from 1 human race.
@NationofArmenia Everything in the Middle East has a Persian meaning, whats your point? The word Armenia is a Persian translation for the Aramaean people, its a mistake that people even today make.
@necrosaint1 Its a 3000 year old instrument I guess turks were in the Caucases back then? Tsiranapogh is the true Armenian word for duduk, literally meaning apricot horn since its made of apricot tree wood. Azerbaijan is Persian word, are you Persian?
@NationofArmenia I'm Persian Armenian actually, but I don't like how you claim as Armenians that everything we have is "originally ours". I've seen Armenians claim kababs, dolmas, instruments, words (Persian, Arabic, Russian, and even Turkish), and even behaviors. But of this, how much % is ours?? If you deny that at least 30% of our culture is Turkish you have some serious problems. The difference between you and me is, tolerance.
@necrosaint1 There are some things that are not ours, nobody really argues. But there are other things which are definitely ours, many references to history. Read history you will learn
@necrosaint1 So what I just went over many things that are derived from other languages but do not belong to the people of that language. What the hell you talking about, if it's in turkish it means its a turkish instrument? Theres a very good Armenian word for duduk, not popular as duduk.
@NationofArmenia Well you are referring to your own variation or duduk that's made out of apricot wood, there are other similar instruments in neighboring countries like Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, that might not even use apricot wood. Does that still make it Armenian?? Of course not. So stop going around claiming everything is Armenian when it is not. Some people claim lavash is Persian, while Armenians claim it is their own. So don't go claiming everything when not everything is Armenian
@necrosaint1 Are you saying duduk is not Armenian, Are you actually saying it is turkish instrument. I can see your a schmuck with no knowledge of history. All you need to know is how to read, to know duduk is Armenian, and based on many facts, not some claims. You should be hanged for treason to your race you schmuck.
@NationofArmenia Idiot morons like you also wear "Karabakh" t-shirts at these racist rallies, and ironically don't call this region "Artsakh" as you claim. This proves there is great inconsistency in your BS of lies. You muddle Turkish and other names because there's no truth in what you guys say, otherwise your words would be in Armenian, not in Turkish. Tell me what are the Armenian word for sari galin, dolma, duduk, bozbash, and other Turkish words???
@necrosaint1 You are so stupid I dont even feel like arguing with you. How do you know what I say, what I wear. You little traitor, go live in baku lets see how they treat you, you schmuck.
@NationofArmenia Only my Armenian mother's side are from there. If these Karabakh idiots hadn't created problems, Azeris and Armenians would live in peace. It's a big regret.
@necrosaint1 Why dont you read some history of Karbakh, why dont you look at facts. Karabakh wanted independence from USSR just like all countries, because they were ethnically cleansed like Armenians in Naxijevan. Azerbaijan is a little hypocrite nation, every sane historian knows Azerbaijan was always a dynasty part of Iran, never independent until 1900s. Azeris are turkified Iranians. Azerbaijan got independence from Iran, then they criticize Karabakh
@NationofArmenia Azerbaijanis are not Iranians. Some are, some are Turks, some are Caucasians (Caucasian Albanians), some are Kurds, and some are other groups. It is the language that unites them. There use to be Caucasians in Karabakh a few thousand years ago before Armenians took them over, just like the Greeks took over the Mycaeans. We are all human beings and have to live with each other. But Armenians are obsessed with ethnic cleansing, killing, and kicking people out.
@necrosaint1 You just showed that you know absolutly nothing about real history. Azeris are turkified Iranians period. Look at history moron. You are such a stupid kid, Tabriz? Armenians are treated good in Tabriz, also no national claims of Tabriz or any Iranian city exist. Please go to azerbaijan or turkey thats your home, you'd be great there.
@NationofArmenia Dashnaks claimed Tabriz during the Karabakh wars, saying how it's a beautiful city to settle Armenians in. Why aren't you getting Van?? Are you afraid that Turkish Kurds will destroy the racist Armenians again?? If there were no rebellions to begin with, Armenians would have lived in peace with the Eastern Turks, Southern Arabs, and the majority Kurds of these regions. There are still a few pockets of Armenians left in those places, no problems there.
@NationofArmenia Van, Tabriz, Diyabakir, Trabzon, Ganja, Urmia, were claimed by Armenians in the past because they had people that lived in these cities during Armenian conquests and kingdoms. Why don't they attempt to take these lands?? Because they are weak. They can only raise their strength against Karabakhis because they out populated them thanks to Russians relocating Armenians from Iran to Karabakh, hence why they have a lot of Persian surnames (Karabakh Armenians).
@necrosaint1 Van was part of Armenia in 1918 what kingdom? you showed that you know nothing time and time again. Please before you come spamming read at least. Armenia never signed a agreement giving the lands to turks, it was the soviets, Armenians definitly claim Eastern Turkey, under law it is ours.
@NationofArmenia Iranian Azeris are not Iranic. Compared to Kurds, Persians, Talysh, they have light features. Blue eyes, blonde hair and white skin (the majority of them in Tabriz at least). The ones in Ardabil have Persian, Talysh, and Kurdish influence, hence why most of them there are darker. Azerbaijanis are influenced by Caucasian natives, Iranic natives, Turkish invaders, as well as other groups such as the Greeks, Georgians, Arabs, Russians, and many more, just like native Armenians.
@NationofArmenia BTW, why did you call it "Karabakh"?? So you even play the fool's card, and prove that this region is suppose to be under RoA's sovereignty. If you were truly Armenian, you were suppose to call it "Artsakh" but this proves that "Artsakh" means nothing to you because if it did, you would have used this name, not Karabakh....since this vocabulary is only used by Azerbaijanis.
@necrosaint1 I now know for certain that you know nothing about history. If you did you would know whoever dominated the region at one time most things are named after their language. This is why Karabakh is called Nagorno Karabakh, Nagorno is after Nagorny in Russian meaning highland. If we used your stupid logic we'd say because it is in Russian, it means its Russian land. Please at least know some general history and logic before opening your mouth
@NationofArmenia If you notice what I wrote, I never wrote "Nagorno" which shows you can't read. I said "Karabakh" not Nagorno. This reveals that you choose to read shit that I never wrote nor mentioned. Nagorno is a term used by Russians to divert the regions regular name Karabakh. The Armenians I were referring to had Karabakh on their t-shirts not Nagorno Karabakh. With that said, neither of these words have Armenian meanings.
@necrosaint1 Your still a shmuck who didnt get my point. If you still think the language used referes to ownership in some way your a complete dummy. Anyway have a bad day, dont ever respond to my comment again
@NationofArmenia The point is you use the term "Nagorno" to make it sound as if this region belongs to Russian sovereignty when it doesn't. The reality is the cowards waited till the USSR collapsed then waged war on civilians on Azerbaijani territory and took the region by force. You pussies attempted to the same thing to Van, Diyabakir, Trabzon, and Javakheti in Georgia and got you asses kicked. When soldiers are not to any avail, you invade weak regions, but when they are you get kicked.
@NationofArmenia Your BS won't convince anyone either. The fact that you can't share churches with Georgians, Maronites, and Greeks in Israel, Lebanon and elsewhere reflect this dashnak mentality of Armenian separatism. It is a cancer for the human race. Armenians need to follow the program like everyone else and see the world in many colors, not black and white (Armenians and non-Armenians). Until people of your mentality get rid of this behavior and cognition, Armenia will continue to suffer.
@NationofArmenia So because I owned your ass in an argument, all you do is retort to name calling?? lol name calling won't change anything silly lol. And I believe you meant "Do us all a favor, and cut your head off", if you knew proper English or wouldn't write so frantically, you would have wrote this instead.
@necrosaint1 Everything you argued was illogical and stupid. You need to learn some history to find out how things work. You do not know anything, probably a moron who works in a store as cashier. Why dont you go live in azerbaijan and see how they treat you. Do a nation and a race a favor dont call yourself Armenian
@NationofArmenia Actually there are a few Armenians that visit Baku, they do it through American and other foreign passports, they haven't reported having any major problems. I hope one day I can visit Baku since I've never been there, only to Yerevan once. I think we should make peace with Azerbaijanis not sour our relations, but you on the other hand are pessimistic and expect the worst to happen. Look at the Armenians of Istanbul, they seem successfully integrated and have good relations.
@NationofArmenia Actually there are a few Armenians that visit Baku, they do it through American and other foreign passports, they haven't reported having any major problems. @necrosaint1 You live in a fairy tale, if they wanted peace with us they wouldn't impose a blockade. Azerbaijan I understand due to the conflict, what is Turkey's reason for the blockade, is that how you treat a neighbor.
@NationofArmenia Meyxana is an Azerbaijani rap folk still popular today. There are some Armenians that also borrowed it because they liked the culture. Does that mean an Azeri guy should run around on some Armenian video with mexyana and yell "YOU STOLE MY CULTURE", no of course not, people borrow culture, this is natural. So don't come to different pages, spewing your bull shit about people stealing. It is very childish and it doesn't result into anything at all.
@necrosaint1 i never mention the word steal. Your a schmuck, duduk is sometimes referred to as image of Armenia, that is why it is important to know where it actually comes from. Your a disgrace to your race, you should be hanged for treason
I must say, it is surprising that the video was honest in admitting that the inscriptions found were in Persian and not Azeri Turkish, but let’s be honest, stop using false statements like "High level of Architecture in Azerbaijan," there is no high level of architecture in Azerbaijan, if you were to rank the levels of Architecture in the countries of the region, Azerbaijan would be at the same level as Afghanistan, a castle is not that complex to build, especially considering it collapsed.
@turbobro9 The inscriptions were in Arabic and Persian. The high level of architecture of Azerbaijan is a well known fact. There are more then 300 castles in Azerbaijan. This particular castle, the size of 2 soccerfields, was build on an small island. Stop being such a jealous racist.
@SeaSnakeX Just because I point out false narrative does not make me a racist, when you mention high level architecture you think of countries like Italy, Egypt, Japan, Greece, not Azerbaijan, Im sorry but if you think the Maiden tower or the Shirvansha palace is architecturally impressive, then you have very low standards. If you compare Azerbaijan to all the countries neighboring it, it has the lowest number of UNESCO world Heritage sites having to do with man-made structures, this is a fact.
@turbobro9 For God Sake just shut the fuck up.I am fed up hearing or reading from you persians such a foolishly arrogant statements that only you iranians mean something in the region.Don`t try to look like as a smart ass.If we weren`t strong we would not build up our Independent State. If we were weak, our 25 million azeris would be assimilated by you persians in Iran long time ago. There will be a time when South Azerbaijan(your north) will join Azerbaijan again.Remember that my iranian friend!
@lovelas265 No one said anything about Iranians meaning something in the region, the point is that false narratives are made and they have to be called out, not every country has the right to claim that it has complex architecture when it simply does not as proven by the low number of UNESCO sites, also a country can't claim to be strong when it has failed to defend its cultural identity and is literally a mix of all of its invaders. I’m pointing out facts that all of you should think about.
@turbobro9 LOL Iran has a cultural identity? You lost your identity 100s of times throughout history? I know that you blame Arabs every day for this :) So dont act superior with us. In 1918 Azerbaijan, became the first Muslim democratic country while Iran is still today a mullah republic, that says it all
@turbobro9 You contradict yourself here. First you said the Maiden Tower is not impressive but you refer to UNESCO world heritage as the indicator of high architecture. The Maiden Tower and the Walled City of Baku are a UNESCO world heritage site. This shows your hypocrisy and lack of knowledge. UNESCO world heritage sites are related to diplomatic relations. There are specific contributions and demands.
@SeaSnakeX Most every country in the world has UNESCO sites, these are sites that are culturally relevant to the particular country, thats no big thing, what Im saying is that you shouldn't lie and say Azerbaijan has a "high leve" of architecture when in reality it does not, when you say something is high level, your comparing it to other existing sites, and simply put, there is no way in hell that plain tower can compete with sites in Europe or Asia, your leing to yourself if you believe it does.
@turbobro9 You jumped from architecture to Azerbaijani identity. This shows your
racist and fascist nature. So stop lying, your not an ancient architecture expert. This video is based on article's written by real experts, not some jealous fascist internet user.
@SeaSnakeX I am very knowledgeable about many subjects, but these two subjects have something in common thats why I brought them up , Azeris on the internet often engage in propaganda campaigns which involve discrediting historical facts about neighboring countries, the root of this has to do with their inferiority complex as well as government sponsored hate campaigns relating to the Karabakh war, just because I exposed these leis does not make me racist.
go to stormfront forum, thats were you belong. you armenians are the ones that make propaganda always cry about the so-called armenian genocide. dont you see the ironie here?
and go watch my armenian flag video, its the flag of your nazi party
@Avtosh2008 stormfront, it's a funny site, that's a white supremacist site. Yet if many so called white supremacist saw an Armenian or a Persian in real life, they wouldn't hesitate for one second, to cut their heads off, for having dark skin. So these idiots should stop using that site, after seeing skinheads kill Armenians and others in Moscow.
@turbobro9 Not really. All groups spread propaganda, this is natural of human nature. Everyone wants to show themselves special in some way or superior. It's not an Azeri, Armenian, Persian, Russian, American, Jewish thing. Doesn't mean all of us spread propaganda.
@turbobro9 What do you mean by defending our cultural identity. We could defend our cultural identity and we proved to all the World that we have nothing to do neither with you persians nor with turks. We are the indigenous people of Caucasus and prove that with enormous difference in our music, cusine, traditional clothes and mostly with genealogy,I am not even writing about turks because nothing bind us with them exept our language, while we do not understand any other turkic nationality.
What valor? What strength of the Azerbaijani people? How can the narrator mention those attributes when throughout history, every foreign invader who has passed through Azerbaijan has left a permanent marker in the Azeri people. The Arabs Islamized them, the Turks forced their language onto them, the Persians forced their branch of Islam and finally the Russians secularized them, this is a fact, there is no pride in converting to your enemy.
@turbobro9 Why do you have to be so jealous on achievements of Azerbaijani people? Look at your own history. Iran was conquered by the Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Mongols, it was Islamized, Turkified, then it became a puppet state of Russia. Later it was a British puppet state, followed by a dictatorship and now Mullahs are the rulers. So Iran is not any better then Azerbaijan, dont be a racist. Every country went through major changes in history, there is no untouched or pure nation in the world..
@SeaSnakeX Every country at some point has been conquered, this is not the point, the point is whether the people protected their cultural identity through strength and valor, defying their invaders, in Azerbaijans case this did not happen, they lost their cultural identity more than once, so you cannot call that strong, in reality that is sign of a weak cultural identity. Yes, Iran was Islamized, however, it was still able to maintain defined national/cultural identity which is world renowned.
@turbobro9 Why do you think there is Azerbaijan? Because we have a strong national identity. What cultural identity of Iran are you talking about? You mean how you converted to Islam, then Turkified, then you became mullah? LOOL The world sees your culture for what it is - Mullah
@NationZone If your gone compare Azerbaijan to extinct nations then your setting your standards very low, there is a universal beliefe among all peoples, it is better to die than to convert to your enemy, Azerbaijan lives today because its ancestors coverted to the invading armies, today Turkey consideres you a brotherly state, but this is not because your the same race, rather that they successfully conquered you and Turkified you, making you a vassal state, there is no honor in that.
@turbobro9 First of all, this is a historical video. You started comparing countries and nations and now you blame me? Like I told you earlier. Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Mongols conquered Iran. Then Iran was Islamized, Arabified, Turkified. It became a puppet state of Russia and the United Kingdom. That was follwed by Westernization and by dictatorship. Then followed by a drug-culture (70% of Iran is addicted to drugs) and now the Mullah culture.
@turbobro9 Iran cultural identity changed with every conquest. Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Mongols. Then Iran was Islamized, Turkified. It became a puppet state of Russia and the United Kingdom. That was follwed by Westernization and by dictatorship. Then followed by a drug-culture (70% of Iran is addicted to drugs) and now the Mullah culture. My point? You are not the same Iran as 4000 years ago, nor are you the same Iran as 300 years ago.
@SeaSnakeX Iran was Islamized, that is it, a portion of its large population was Turkified which is a national shame, but that does't mean the entire country became Turkic, if you don't know, Farsi is still the dominant language and the Persian people are still the dominant ethnic group, secondly, you yourself must be on drugs if you think 70% of Irans population is addicted, there is a drug problem just like any other country.
@turbobro9 Islamized, then Arabified and later on Turkified. Yeah vast majority of Iranian population is addicted to hard drugs. If you dont know this then you obviously never been in Iran or dont know anybody from there. Iranian drugg addication is 70%, the highest in the world, so its not "like any other country".
Hey, you are talking about Iranian people maintaining their national/cultural identity forgeting of the facts that namely majority of those who built up Iranian culture of the Islamic Renaissance period were ethnic Turks - nowadays Azerbaijanis. Take all the musicians, artists and poets - they were either Turks or their students. Persian truth never goed further than Babilonian truth - remember the language that the last were speaking - that was full of TURKIC words.
@turbobro9 This shows your lack of knowledge on Iranian history. There are 2 cultural elites in Iran. Persians and Azerbaijanis, they form the very foundation of Iran. Other minorities played a minor role but decisive as Persians and Azerbaijanis.
Reading the persian and turkofob fabricated history - does not mean that you know the truth. Persians in fact were never able to come over Turks in every spheres. All flagholders of all revolutions in the history of the region were Azeris. How can you explain the fact that even the people on power of current - TEMPORARY - persian regime do marry Azerbaijani women - it is in order to have beautiful and talanted children.
@IAzerbaijanI I don't want to be disrespectful, but Azeris are not viewed very well in Iran, most of them tend to be uneducated country folks, that’s why you get a lot of jokes like Torke-khar. If Iran respected Azeris, they would not have banned them from learning their own language, Christian Armenians in Iran have their own schools in Iran yet Azeri Turks who are in the million don't , that should tell you how much Iran respects Azeri culture.
@turbobro9 You are being very disrespectful and it is this same disrespect towards Azerbaijanis, who compremize 30 million people in Iran, which will break apart Iran in mutliple countries. The lack of Azerbaijani schools in Iran has nothing to do with Azerbaijanis being "uneducated", this comment shows your racist nature.
@turbobro9 Yep, that's why Googoosh (the most popular female pop singer of Iran), Bazargan (prime minister), Yaya Safavi (former military head of Iran), Shirin Ebadi (biggest political lawyer of Iran/ first Iranian to hold a nobel peace prize), Takhti (most famous wrestler of Iran), Ali Daei (greatest football player of Iran), are all not viewed well right?? I've proven to you the most famous of Iranians, are Azerbaijanis. Not to mention, if they are inferior, why do they rule Iran??You jealous?
@turbobro9 If you're talking about language in that manner, then I'm assuming the other 15-20 major ethnic groups in Iran, are all inferior, because they don't have their mother languages punished in schools right?? Farsi is just the official language of Iran for purposes of communication, nothing more, nothing less, that's all. That's why it's required in education and govt. Otherwise Iran would be more than 10 nations in one large massive region.
@turbobro9 Christian Armenians, have their own schools, because they represent the only Christian minority in Iran. The majority of Assyrians are non-existent, or have left the nation or assimilated or intermarried. The Jews of Iran also learn Hebrew because like the Armenians, they represent Iran's 2 minority religions of the Abrahamic faith. This has nothing to do with Armenians being favorites above our 15-20 or more of our major ethnic groups.
It is clear and obvious why current persian rejime bans Azeris from learning their language that HUNDREDS time more beautiful and elite that persian. That is why South Azerbaijan sees its future out of Iran. Armenian is the worst language of the region and its regarded just to hurt Azeris. Take you dirty mud-skinned persians and compare to beatiful and handsome Azeris and see why persians hate Azeris so much. Soon will come the end of the FAKE pride of poor persians, just wait&see.
@IAzerbaijanI But you are right, a lot of the flagholders as well soldiers on the front lines in Iran were Azeris, but there is reason for this, you never send your countries elite to go in the front lines and die in war, you send people who are expendable, as sad as this is, it is the truth. Azerbaijan did the same with their Talyish minority during the Nagorno-Karabakh war, it is a common practice used by countries to do their dirty work, so don't feel too proud.
@turbobro9 The majority of Azerbaijanis were volunteers. It's part of Turkish culture to serve and respect their motherlands. While Persians, Kurds, and other Iranians are hiding behind their mother's rear ends, these guys are fighting with honor and courage to save Iran from the brink of annihilation. Just like the majority of Cossacks were volunteers in different nations.
@turbobro9 I disagree. The Maiden Tower still stands, so does Shirvanshah Palace and dozens of ancient Albanian Churches. I do hate the fact that we were forced to convert to islam and were turkified which led to modern misconception that Azeris are of turkic descent. And Azerbaijanians were strong that they still exist on the map. So many ethnicities have disappeared or are still under foreign rule.
@RubinKazan2010 There are several articles on this ancient castle. However a Wikipedia article is a great suggestion. For more information on this structure, see the link in the description.

@SeaSnakeX Nothing no point, I agree with you. I was just proving a point to this guy who said duduk is a turkish word.
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia How ironic, duduk is a Turkish word. And Azeris use balaban, which is their own variation.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 Its a 3000 year old instrument I guess turks were in the Caucases back then? Tsiranapogh is the true Armenian word for duduk, literally meaning apricot horn since its made of apricot tree wood. Azerbaijan is Persian word, are you Persian?
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Armenia is also a Persian word, the native name is Hayastan.
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia I'm Persian Armenian actually, but I don't like how you claim as Armenians that everything we have is "originally ours". I've seen Armenians claim kababs, dolmas, instruments, words (Persian, Arabic, Russian, and even Turkish), and even behaviors. But of this, how much % is ours?? If you deny that at least 30% of our culture is Turkish you have some serious problems. The difference between you and me is, tolerance.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 There are some things that are not ours, nobody really argues. But there are other things which are definitely ours, many references to history. Read history you will learn
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia The word itself is ultimately derived from Turkish "düdük",[6][7] likely of onomatopoeic origin.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 So what I just went over many things that are derived from other languages but do not belong to the people of that language. What the hell you talking about, if it's in turkish it means its a turkish instrument? Theres a very good Armenian word for duduk, not popular as duduk.
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Well you are referring to your own variation or duduk that's made out of apricot wood, there are other similar instruments in neighboring countries like Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, that might not even use apricot wood. Does that still make it Armenian?? Of course not. So stop going around claiming everything is Armenian when it is not. Some people claim lavash is Persian, while Armenians claim it is their own. So don't go claiming everything when not everything is Armenian
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 Are you saying duduk is not Armenian, Are you actually saying it is turkish instrument. I can see your a schmuck with no knowledge of history. All you need to know is how to read, to know duduk is Armenian, and based on many facts, not some claims. You should be hanged for treason to your race you schmuck.
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Idiot morons like you also wear "Karabakh" t-shirts at these racist rallies, and ironically don't call this region "Artsakh" as you claim. This proves there is great inconsistency in your BS of lies. You muddle Turkish and other names because there's no truth in what you guys say, otherwise your words would be in Armenian, not in Turkish. Tell me what are the Armenian word for sari galin, dolma, duduk, bozbash, and other Turkish words???
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 You are so stupid I dont even feel like arguing with you. How do you know what I say, what I wear. You little traitor, go live in baku lets see how they treat you, you schmuck.
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Only my Armenian mother's side are from there. If these Karabakh idiots hadn't created problems, Azeris and Armenians would live in peace. It's a big regret.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 Why dont you read some history of Karbakh, why dont you look at facts. Karabakh wanted independence from USSR just like all countries, because they were ethnically cleansed like Armenians in Naxijevan. Azerbaijan is a little hypocrite nation, every sane historian knows Azerbaijan was always a dynasty part of Iran, never independent until 1900s. Azeris are turkified Iranians. Azerbaijan got independence from Iran, then they criticize Karabakh
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Azerbaijanis are not Iranians. Some are, some are Turks, some are Caucasians (Caucasian Albanians), some are Kurds, and some are other groups. It is the language that unites them. There use to be Caucasians in Karabakh a few thousand years ago before Armenians took them over, just like the Greeks took over the Mycaeans. We are all human beings and have to live with each other. But Armenians are obsessed with ethnic cleansing, killing, and kicking people out.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 You just showed that you know absolutly nothing about real history. Azeris are turkified Iranians period. Look at history moron. You are such a stupid kid, Tabriz? Armenians are treated good in Tabriz, also no national claims of Tabriz or any Iranian city exist. Please go to azerbaijan or turkey thats your home, you'd be great there.
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Dashnaks claimed Tabriz during the Karabakh wars, saying how it's a beautiful city to settle Armenians in. Why aren't you getting Van?? Are you afraid that Turkish Kurds will destroy the racist Armenians again?? If there were no rebellions to begin with, Armenians would have lived in peace with the Eastern Turks, Southern Arabs, and the majority Kurds of these regions. There are still a few pockets of Armenians left in those places, no problems there.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Van, Tabriz, Diyabakir, Trabzon, Ganja, Urmia, were claimed by Armenians in the past because they had people that lived in these cities during Armenian conquests and kingdoms. Why don't they attempt to take these lands?? Because they are weak. They can only raise their strength against Karabakhis because they out populated them thanks to Russians relocating Armenians from Iran to Karabakh, hence why they have a lot of Persian surnames (Karabakh Armenians).
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 Van was part of Armenia in 1918 what kingdom? you showed that you know nothing time and time again. Please before you come spamming read at least. Armenia never signed a agreement giving the lands to turks, it was the soviets, Armenians definitly claim Eastern Turkey, under law it is ours.
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Iranian Azeris are not Iranic. Compared to Kurds, Persians, Talysh, they have light features. Blue eyes, blonde hair and white skin (the majority of them in Tabriz at least). The ones in Ardabil have Persian, Talysh, and Kurdish influence, hence why most of them there are darker. Azerbaijanis are influenced by Caucasian natives, Iranic natives, Turkish invaders, as well as other groups such as the Greeks, Georgians, Arabs, Russians, and many more, just like native Armenians.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia BTW, why did you call it "Karabakh"?? So you even play the fool's card, and prove that this region is suppose to be under RoA's sovereignty. If you were truly Armenian, you were suppose to call it "Artsakh" but this proves that "Artsakh" means nothing to you because if it did, you would have used this name, not Karabakh....since this vocabulary is only used by Azerbaijanis.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 I now know for certain that you know nothing about history. If you did you would know whoever dominated the region at one time most things are named after their language. This is why Karabakh is called Nagorno Karabakh, Nagorno is after Nagorny in Russian meaning highland. If we used your stupid logic we'd say because it is in Russian, it means its Russian land. Please at least know some general history and logic before opening your mouth
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia If you notice what I wrote, I never wrote "Nagorno" which shows you can't read. I said "Karabakh" not Nagorno. This reveals that you choose to read shit that I never wrote nor mentioned. Nagorno is a term used by Russians to divert the regions regular name Karabakh. The Armenians I were referring to had Karabakh on their t-shirts not Nagorno Karabakh. With that said, neither of these words have Armenian meanings.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 Your still a shmuck who didnt get my point. If you still think the language used referes to ownership in some way your a complete dummy. Anyway have a bad day, dont ever respond to my comment again
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia The point is you use the term "Nagorno" to make it sound as if this region belongs to Russian sovereignty when it doesn't. The reality is the cowards waited till the USSR collapsed then waged war on civilians on Azerbaijani territory and took the region by force. You pussies attempted to the same thing to Van, Diyabakir, Trabzon, and Javakheti in Georgia and got you asses kicked. When soldiers are not to any avail, you invade weak regions, but when they are you get kicked.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Your BS won't convince anyone either. The fact that you can't share churches with Georgians, Maronites, and Greeks in Israel, Lebanon and elsewhere reflect this dashnak mentality of Armenian separatism. It is a cancer for the human race. Armenians need to follow the program like everyone else and see the world in many colors, not black and white (Armenians and non-Armenians). Until people of your mentality get rid of this behavior and cognition, Armenia will continue to suffer.

And I believe you meant "Do us all a favor, and cut your head off", if you knew proper English or wouldn't write so frantically, you would have wrote this instead.
necrosaint1 1 year ago
@necrosaint1 Everything you argued was illogical and stupid. You need to learn some history to find out how things work. You do not know anything, probably a moron who works in a store as cashier. Why dont you go live in azerbaijan and see how they treat you. Do a nation and a race a favor dont call yourself Armenian
NationofArmenia 1 year ago
@NationofArmenia Actually there are a few Armenians that visit Baku, they do it through American and other foreign passports, they haven't reported having any major problems. I hope one day I can visit Baku since I've never been there, only to Yerevan once. I think we should make peace with Azerbaijanis not sour our relations, but you on the other hand are pessimistic and expect the worst to happen. Look at the Armenians of Istanbul, they seem successfully integrated and have good relations.

I must say, it is surprising that the video was honest in admitting that the inscriptions found were in Persian and not Azeri Turkish, but let’s be honest, stop using false statements like "High level of Architecture in Azerbaijan," there is no high level of architecture in Azerbaijan, if you were to rank the levels of Architecture in the countries of the region, Azerbaijan would be at the same level as Afghanistan, a castle is not that complex to build, especially considering it collapsed.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 The inscriptions were in Arabic and Persian. The high level of architecture of Azerbaijan is a well known fact. There are more then 300 castles in Azerbaijan. This particular castle, the size of 2 soccerfields, was build on an small island. Stop being such a jealous racist.
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@SeaSnakeX Just because I point out false narrative does not make me a racist, when you mention high level architecture you think of countries like Italy, Egypt, Japan, Greece, not Azerbaijan, Im sorry but if you think the Maiden tower or the Shirvansha palace is architecturally impressive, then you have very low standards. If you compare Azerbaijan to all the countries neighboring it, it has the lowest number of UNESCO world Heritage sites having to do with man-made structures, this is a fact.
turbobro9 1 year ago
Do you have a degree in ancient architecture? No, so stop talking like an expert.
NationZone 1 year ago
@turbobro9 For God Sake just shut the fuck up.I am fed up hearing or reading from you persians such a foolishly arrogant statements that only you iranians mean something in the region.Don`t try to look like as a smart ass.If we weren`t strong we would not build up our Independent State. If we were weak, our 25 million azeris would be assimilated by you persians in Iran long time ago. There will be a time when South Azerbaijan(your north) will join Azerbaijan again.Remember that my iranian friend!
lovelas265 1 year ago
@lovelas265 No one said anything about Iranians meaning something in the region, the point is that false narratives are made and they have to be called out, not every country has the right to claim that it has complex architecture when it simply does not as proven by the low number of UNESCO sites, also a country can't claim to be strong when it has failed to defend its cultural identity and is literally a mix of all of its invaders. I’m pointing out facts that all of you should think about.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 LOL Iran has a cultural identity? You lost your identity 100s of times throughout history? I know that you blame Arabs every day for this :) So dont act superior with us. In 1918 Azerbaijan, became the first Muslim democratic country while Iran is still today a mullah republic, that says it all
NationZone 1 year ago
@turbobro9 You contradict yourself here. First you said the Maiden Tower is not impressive but you refer to UNESCO world heritage as the indicator of high architecture. The Maiden Tower and the Walled City of Baku are a UNESCO world heritage site. This shows your hypocrisy and lack of knowledge. UNESCO world heritage sites are related to diplomatic relations. There are specific contributions and demands.
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@SeaSnakeX Most every country in the world has UNESCO sites, these are sites that are culturally relevant to the particular country, thats no big thing, what Im saying is that you shouldn't lie and say Azerbaijan has a "high leve" of architecture when in reality it does not, when you say something is high level, your comparing it to other existing sites, and simply put, there is no way in hell that plain tower can compete with sites in Europe or Asia, your leing to yourself if you believe it does.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 You jumped from architecture to Azerbaijani identity. This shows your
racist and fascist nature. So stop lying, your not an ancient architecture expert. This video is based on article's written by real experts, not some jealous fascist internet user.
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@SeaSnakeX I am very knowledgeable about many subjects, but these two subjects have something in common thats why I brought them up , Azeris on the internet often engage in propaganda campaigns which involve discrediting historical facts about neighboring countries, the root of this has to do with their inferiority complex as well as government sponsored hate campaigns relating to the Karabakh war, just because I exposed these leis does not make me racist.

@Avtosh2008 stormfront, it's a funny site, that's a white supremacist site. RubinKazan2010 1 year ago
@turbobro9 Not really. All groups spread propaganda, this is natural of human nature. Everyone wants to show themselves special in some way or superior. It's not an Azeri, Armenian, Persian, Russian, American, Jewish thing. Doesn't mean all of us spread propaganda.
RubinKazan2010 1 year ago
@turbobro9 What do you mean by defending our cultural identity. We could defend our cultural identity and we proved to all the World that we have nothing to do neither with you persians nor with turks. We are the indigenous people of Caucasus and prove that with enormous difference in our music, cusine, traditional clothes and mostly with genealogy,I am not even writing about turks because nothing bind us with them exept our language, while we do not understand any other turkic nationality.
lovelas265 1 year ago
@turbobro9 typical persian jealousy, cannot handle the fact that Azerbaijanis do actually achieve something
NationZone 1 year ago
What valor? What strength of the Azerbaijani people? How can the narrator mention those attributes when throughout history, every foreign invader who has passed through Azerbaijan has left a permanent marker in the Azeri people. The Arabs Islamized them, the Turks forced their language onto them, the Persians forced their branch of Islam and finally the Russians secularized them, this is a fact, there is no pride in converting to your enemy.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 Why do you have to be so jealous on achievements of Azerbaijani people? Look at your own history. Iran was conquered by the Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Mongols, it was Islamized, Turkified, then it became a puppet state of Russia. Later it was a British puppet state, followed by a dictatorship and now Mullahs are the rulers. So Iran is not any better then Azerbaijan, dont be a racist. Every country went through major changes in history, there is no untouched or pure nation in the world..
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@SeaSnakeX Every country at some point has been conquered, this is not the point, the point is whether the people protected their cultural identity through strength and valor, defying their invaders, in Azerbaijans case this did not happen, they lost their cultural identity more than once, so you cannot call that strong, in reality that is sign of a weak cultural identity. Yes, Iran was Islamized, however, it was still able to maintain defined national/cultural identity which is world renowned.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 Why do you think there is Azerbaijan? Because we have a strong national identity. What cultural identity of Iran are you talking about? You mean how you converted to Islam, then Turkified, then you became mullah? LOOL The world sees your culture for what it is - Mullah
NationZone 1 year ago
@NationZone If your gone compare Azerbaijan to extinct nations then your setting your standards very low, there is a universal beliefe among all peoples, it is better to die than to convert to your enemy, Azerbaijan lives today because its ancestors coverted to the invading armies, today Turkey consideres you a brotherly state, but this is not because your the same race, rather that they successfully conquered you and Turkified you, making you a vassal state, there is no honor in that.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 First of all, this is a historical video. You started comparing countries and nations and now you blame me? Like I told you earlier. Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Mongols conquered Iran. Then Iran was Islamized, Arabified, Turkified. It became a puppet state of Russia and the United Kingdom. That was follwed by Westernization and by dictatorship. Then followed by a drug-culture (70% of Iran is addicted to drugs) and now the Mullah culture.
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@turbobro9 Iran cultural identity changed with every conquest. Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Mongols. Then Iran was Islamized, Turkified. It became a puppet state of Russia and the United Kingdom. That was follwed by Westernization and by dictatorship. Then followed by a drug-culture (70% of Iran is addicted to drugs) and now the Mullah culture. My point? You are not the same Iran as 4000 years ago, nor are you the same Iran as 300 years ago.
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@SeaSnakeX Iran was Islamized, that is it, a portion of its large population was Turkified which is a national shame, but that does't mean the entire country became Turkic, if you don't know, Farsi is still the dominant language and the Persian people are still the dominant ethnic group, secondly, you yourself must be on drugs if you think 70% of Irans population is addicted, there is a drug problem just like any other country.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 Islamized, then Arabified and later on Turkified. Yeah vast majority of Iranian population is addicted to hard drugs. If you dont know this then you obviously never been in Iran or dont know anybody from there. Iranian drugg addication is 70%, the highest in the world, so its not "like any other country".
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@turbobro9
IAzerbaijanI 1 year ago
@IAzerbaijanI Saying the majority of Irans cultural elite were Turks is just BS, sure they played a role, but so has every minority group in Iran.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 This shows your lack of knowledge on Iranian history. There are 2 cultural elites in Iran. Persians and Azerbaijanis, they form the very foundation of Iran. Other minorities played a minor role but decisive as Persians and Azerbaijanis.
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
@turbobro9
IAzerbaijanI 1 year ago
@IAzerbaijanI I don't want to be disrespectful, but Azeris are not viewed very well in Iran, most of them tend to be uneducated country folks, that’s why you get a lot of jokes like Torke-khar. If Iran respected Azeris, they would not have banned them from learning their own language, Christian Armenians in Iran have their own schools in Iran yet Azeri Turks who are in the million don't , that should tell you how much Iran respects Azeri culture.
turbobro9 1 year ago
@turbobro9 You are being very disrespectful and it is this same disrespect towards Azerbaijanis, who compremize 30 million people in Iran, which will break apart Iran in mutliple countries. The lack of Azerbaijani schools in Iran has nothing to do with Azerbaijanis being "uneducated", this comment shows your racist nature.
SeaSnakeX 1 year ago
RubinKazan2010 1 year ago
@turbobro9 If you're talking about language in that manner, then I'm assuming the other 15-20 major ethnic groups in Iran, are all inferior, because they don't have their mother languages punished in schools right?? Farsi is just the official language of Iran for purposes of communication, nothing more, nothing less, that's all. That's why it's required in education and govt. Otherwise Iran would be more than 10 nations in one large massive region.
RubinKazan2010 1 year ago
@turbobro9 Christian Armenians, have their own schools, because they represent the only Christian minority in Iran. The majority of Assyrians are non-existent, or have left the nation or assimilated or intermarried. The Jews of Iran also learn Hebrew because like the Armenians, they represent Iran's 2 minority religions of the Abrahamic faith. This has nothing to do with Armenians being favorites above our 15-20 or more of our major ethnic groups.
RubinKazan2010 1 year ago
@turbobro9

Do not underestimate Turks - Azeris - because they are the ones who are the reason why you are proud to be Iranian.
IAzerbaijanI 1 year ago

RubinKazan2010 1 year ago
@turbobro9 I disagree. The Maiden Tower still stands, so does Shirvanshah Palace and dozens of ancient Albanian Churches. I do hate the fact that we were forced to convert to islam and were turkified which led to modern misconception that Azeris are of turkic descent. And Azerbaijanians were strong that they still exist on the map. So many ethnicities have disappeared or are still under foreign rule.
