I think this is kind of cool and funny now, but when I was 15 (when this came out) I thought it was seriously lame. I guess I suspected that they were trying to sell some kind of message, and I wasn't buying.
I thought I heard a semi-trailer... Greg you missed the stop sign! That did actually happen to someone I knew called Greg. He was no brain or jock though. He was an evil bastard.
Greg, the stop sign is about much more than the TAC ad, It's about not doing things that you know are wrong, not doing those stupid things your friends will cheer at but can ruin your life. And yeah, I met them too.
James Paull (Jock as we called him) was a close friend of my parents. He's dearly missed. Such an amazing talent, although you might not pick it here. He was classically trained and just amazing. He was never without his guitar. RIP jock.
These guys opened my eyes to alternative music, I was 12 when first I heard this, absolutely loved it!!!! So original & satirical, there is no band quite like them, mum!! Apparently one of them is a high school English teacher in Melbourne!!!
I've just watched this for around the 20'th time and just realized that the singer at 2:12 says "Got a tumor in my brain, it's creepin' to my lungs", did he know he had cancer at this time or what?
I love this song, its full of pure optimism. Everything is terrible, you could die any minute, nothing in life matters, so why not just go out there and do your fucking best?
I was very disappointed to learn that the TAC ad which inspired this song did not in fact include the phrase "Greg! The stop sign!!". It was actually the infamous "Darren!" ad. Apparently TISM thought that 'Greg' sounded better when sung Beach Boys-style.
@imsazcake They're fairly famous through their playing in TISM, but not in the sense of 'famous like Dieter Brummer' - except maybe Eugene de la Hot-Croix Bun, who is the uncle of Nic and Chris from Jet.

Your a professional... keep it simple!
Did anyone else notice this grammatical error in the locker room? Was it deliberate?

@ilikehams Tokin' Blackman (first billed as Tony Coitus) (James Paull): Guitar (1992–2008) died of cancer, so the answer is probably no.

(track 8: variations 11-15 - 2:35-3:@2 to be extremely precise for anyone with the cd)
but and awesome song by an awesome group.
