the "film look" is maybe a little bit over the top. I'm just sick of seeing short films that try to get too stylistic looking. I'd say less contrast, less choppy, a good 30p always looks great.
did you use after affects? i had a panasonic agdvx100ae, 25P - used to shoot a little. there are lots of tricks you can use to obtain depth of field, depending on your cam and lens size..
yeah, just for a mess about. i'm gonna make a lot more vids with movie style, i've started a film studies course in queens uni in belfast. so i'll be messing about with 1000's of pounds worth of shit! yo! stay turned for more lol
yeah cool man. i studied a little video production in my degree in college.. nothing overly impressive. most of the stuff i learned was from a hobby.. depth of field, lighting, colour correction, sound, special effects (aka star wars beam me up scotty) lol..
Just a few tips. You can not get a convincing film look without DOF.A 35mm adapter and a few 35mm lenses will really increase your production value.Just a tip.
Hate to break it to you...but it really doesn't look like film. Doesn't mean it looks bad, not at all...but it doesn't really look like film, which seems to be what you're going for.
