Although Red is a challenging boss, I enjoyed fighting him. In fact, I beat him on hard mode perfectly without taking damage with several characters when I mastered the dash jump technique in the 3-D mode. I uploaded some videos on my channel already.
@rythmjc3 I'll PM you some videos. I have many methods of madness that I use to beat Red. In fact, one of them has me winning using only the Axl Bullets.
Red was probably the most annoying boss. Not only did he fight you above a foggy bottomless pit, but it was nearly impossible to hit the bastard with his weakness as anyone besides X, and Axl was pretty much usless once his weapon energy ran out. Zero couldn't get close enough to make any hits, and even considering that I got in hard and opened up on him, he still took forever. Most of the time I died from him showing up on the pillar I was standing on, knocking me into the pit. Ass.
