I have never heard this song in my entire 42 years until just recently, thanks to the satellite radio in my car. I was mesmerized and blown away!! The singer's angelic like voice almost reminded me a bit of Sandy Denny. I had no idea who these people were but am so glad to have discovered it!

Such a full sound and one of the greatest voices ever! I read somewhere that Annie has retired? to raising a family somewhere in Pennsylvania? I would love to see them in concert again.

I remember hearing them for the first time almost 40 years ago. Never get tired of listening to what is one of the greatest songs by one of the greatest groups ever. Annie is one of a kind.
Another wonderful song by Rennaissance! What an amazing group! I love turning friends on to them! I enjoy seeing them in awe of such a fantastic band!
i just got to know this band today and although this whole album sounds unearthly amazing, i didnt quite like the rest of their work. i hope im not ofending anyone. one of the greatest things ive ever heard, this one album, though.
I first saw this band in the mid-70s and was blown away by not only the songs, but the singer, Annie Haslam - what a voice - the voice of an angel! She sounds like she came down from heaven! Turn of The Cards is a definite must-have for any Renaissance fan.
I had heard this sampled for the Capone-N-Noreaga song Blood Money Part 3. But it was nice to hear the original. I'm a child of the '70's, so it was nice to hear this. Love it.
@vintagezigg Thanks again for the share, my man. I really thought old Gene (Clark) was burning out on his own in this field of clean clear music that seems to have to be from a parallel universe, where no-one was aware of anything going on politically or socially at the time... its the highest compliment... like space children, taught English, and beamed down for a two week visit to Earth to touch soil and feel water and see rainbows, then beamed back up and told "go make album". Cool.

Buon 2011 a tutti !!!!
My dad pulled out the vinyl record of this and played it for me. As soon as that intro started I was gasping for air at how amazing this song sounded. And then intro stopped and I kept turning my head going "What the hell is this, how did that transition well?!" I eventually grew into liking this album and Renaissance and I do love her voice and music but ever since that night I've referred to Renaissance to all my friends as "The band with the most amazing intros that don't go anywhere." lol
For some reason, this song crept into my head and became a severe earwig after not hearing it for something like 25 years...I thought it was originally on Prologue. I thought her engagement with The Move/Electric Light Orchestra's Roy Wood was certainly a match made in heaven..:-)
The best femme voice in progressive music; right up there with Chris Koerts (Earth & Fire) and Sonja Kristina (Curved Air) and of course all the crossover folk/rock acts
Brilliant song, one of my favourites. Renaissance were a one-of-kind band, with a completely unique sound of their own. Wish there were bands like this around today.
