Cutting them rafter tails and the overhangs on the gable with the sawzall has got to be the biggest waste of time. Cut it right from the get go and you won't have to deal with that crap at the end. I guess you don't know how to lay out rafters though since there are no birds mouths cut.
Ha I would'a traded you a pile of used galvanized tin I have for your "Green primed" stuff. I'm building a small barn that will be painted barn red anyway.

Drats! Now ya tell me ;p. It doesn't really matter either way, I guess. Painting it just means more work and we have enough of that as it is!
