Also same penalties apply if one is caught driving under the influence and they can set a tolerable level like blood alcohol in theory. And people can smoke it inside their homes only. No second hand smoke please. That should be found very very acceptable. Also I agree with taxing the product and lettnig authorized distributiors grow. The revenues alone would solve a lot.

However there are some medical benefits like controlling charlie horses etc. etc. And also there is the Marijuana that doesn't make you stupid wihch is premium grade. You can still walk and talk just fine. I've even seen my best friend drive stoned before and he drove just fine and functioned in a regular job. It just varies on ones upbrigining but you should learn to respect the rights of the individual vs. demonizing them.

And decriminalizes charges for the common citizen. The next step from that is not complete legalization, but more of a apathy like seen in Europe. No one has ever died from any cannibis only related incident. Weed does NOT kill brain cells. Cannibis Hemp can be used for OVER 5000 things including paper (ending deforestation) fuel (less money for gas) and other things (body care products, clothing, plastic, ect.). It can be used by itself and in conjunction with other medicens and could possibly, if tested, end desieses. If marijuana was legalized and taxed about 14 billion dollars could be collected every year. So whys it bad???????

@chucky, make it legal however comapanies are still free to drug test nonetheless and can set their own policies. Also same penalties apply if one is caught driving under the influence and they can set a tolerable level like blood alcohol in theory. And people can smoke it inside their homes only. No second hand smoke please. That should be found very very acceptable. Also I agree with taxing the product and lettnig authorized distributiors grow. The revenues alone would solve a lot.

in comparison to alcohol i think it's harmless, and it relieves stress, and it smells great, looks great, creates a friendly and funny atmosphere and it's pretty strange how governments won't legalize it when they know they are just inviting criminals to take advantage and they spray or dip it. so the danger comes from governments lack of action to provide a safe and clean supply for smokers. and if your one of the ppl who goes mad on it n smokes a half a day then thats your own stupidity.

Not just the money either, people would just generally feel much better. Im sure you all know how it feels to be high, its fucking amazing. Everything looks/tastes/sounds/feels and seems better. Depression, gone, anorexia, gone. The only two bad things I find smoking it now are the drug dealers. Not so bad once you got a regular guy. But dangerous if you dont. Secondly the paranoia of being caught. Both would be gone if it were to be legal!

However there are some medical benefits like controlling charlie horses etc. etc. And also there is the Marijuana that doesn't make you stupid wihch is premium grade. You can still walk and talk just fine. I've even seen my best friend drive stoned before and he drove just fine and functioned in a regular job. It just varies on ones upbrigining but you should learn to respect the rights of the individual vs. demonizing them.

i hear all this talk about regulating but you should be able to grow it in your yard without any regulations as you would a tomato garden. tax should only be if you are a seller but I think the less the government is involved the better. think of how many people are in jail for nonviolent crimes without a victim because of the drug war. what you do with your own body is nobodies business.

@x11115 very true, but i think the idea is small steps. The idea of government regulation allows local government benefit monetarily from permits and fees. And decriminalizes charges for the common citizen. The next step from that is not complete legalization, but more of a apathy like seen in Europe. The real benefit of legalizing is the huge economic benefit of cultivating hemp.

It is still federally illegal to possess it.
You get the federal summons in the mail saying you have to pay the $1000.00 bail or have a federal warrant issued for your arrest - - or they deduct it from your tax return.

They all said the same things "I'll only do it once a month, if that" and "I'm in control of my own life." and the classic: "Pot is not addicting." Although there may be nothing to actually get you addicted in pot, the high produced from it certainly can get you addicted.

No one has ever died from any cannibis only related incident. Weed does NOT kill brain cells. Cannibis Hemp can be used for OVER 5000 things including paper (ending deforestation) fuel (less money for gas) and other things (body care products, clothing, plastic, ect.). It can be used by itself and in conjunction with other medicens and could possibly, if tested, end desieses. If marijuana was legalized and taxed about 14 billion dollars could be collected every year. So whys it bad???????

marijuana helps to cure glaucoma. that's a fact. any type of smoke is obviously bad for the lungs and therefore health in general. that has nothing to do with the plant's healing properties. stress is the agent most responsible for ailments and disorders in our lives. whatever treatment keeps us physically or psychologically healthy should be a decision between patient and doctor. the only way that marijuana could kill you would be 20 pounds dropped from 20 feet.

LEGALIZE marijuana...its safer than alcohol and tobacco,even coffee.. and since its safer than all these (and more)..it should be legal so that the ppl can CHOOSE the safer drug first. then they could CHOOSE wether they want to do something ALOT more dangerous like alcohol or tobacco..ext. millions of ppl are making the MUCH safer choice to use cannabis rather than harder drugs..and rightly so. the government would rather see you go straight to substances 100+ times more dangerous than marijuana

Very, very, VERY well done.
Only part that bugged me was when you said that the government infringes upon our right to free religious practice by keeping cannabis legal. They are doing quite a bit more than that, and the government has actually (laughably) made exceptions for certain religious groups to do certain illegal drugs on American soil.
That said, 5 fucking stars.
