Yeah the whole 40min treaty makes this vid obsolete, your playing your initial ages without the pressure of having to make a military. Totally unrealistic, no way you could have that many settlers or implement a Boom strategy like that on a hard no-treaty difficulty. especially seeing as online players love to rush

why on earth would you play 40 minute treaty? you can hit imperial and maxpop in way less than that, so macro skill is more or less irrelevant, and it's just down to who counters the units better and who has the best micro :| i know some people don't like rushes for some reason, but a 15 minute treaty should be more than enough to get a big enough army for you folks to find it interesting :S

the french are way better especially when you revolt because:

coureurs are way better than settlers

you can instantly spawn cavalry

you can spawn sheep

you get 3 submarines when you revolt or 4 gatling guns

you can have more than 2 forts

i dont under stand why you find cows so effectiv

sure you gonna get recourses but you also have to produse them and thier for you only gonna get about 350 recourses per cow.

secondly you should begin being smarter building up your base. fx in sted of making a long line of houses you should make a box it dosent nearly take as long time.

Why waste food on livestock?! build more villagers with that food and start hunting... and then build an extra farm or plantation... :s

@gaumke they may gather faster, but i suggest not doing that for the whole game, once you enter age 3 you should really switch gears to get plantations and mills built.
