  • is it possible to do that without the ada converter? i have a 003 can i just run my mixer into the digi003 and do the same?

  • Why not just use the Tascam that has 16 inputs?

  • @deadendkid1968 with pro tools ?

  • isnt that a mackie mixer, if not what's the name of it. ive been looking for a mixer with individual outputs

  • @pierre062590 its a Ramsa mixer. But I dont Use a mixer anymore, this vid is old. go to my channel and you can see my new vids.

  • Man you need to take advice from me!!! I got you analog and digital. XLR, MADI, ADAT, MIDI, AES all pro!!!

    Your man D....

  • @gumby1220 thanks

  • Apogee

  • i got the motif es6, the korg karma, roland fantom, mpc 2000xl, 5000, and a few racks i need to know how to MIDI everything together. I want to use the mpc 5000 as the main sequencer but im not sure how to sync everything using midi.. i know how to sync the motif up to it easy but when it comes to using the "thrus" on the boards i get so confused.... someone please help!!

  • anyone know if you can plug the Motu 24 with Digi oo3 rackmount?

  • the sound quality of ada8000 is not good for me...

  • Yeah I heard their is better sounding ada converters , I never heard another ada converter yet, what do you recomend? Peace!

  • how do you make it stop at jus 8 bars in protools like how u had it highlighted?

  • grid mode

  • kingoftheworld..... you just highlight the 8 bars and record. then u can use the duplicate option to make it like a loop

  • Presonus Digimax Series. Great Preamps and can also work a a AD or DA standalone conversion.

  • i understand how you got everything to record at once, but how did you get all your synths to play togeather at once for this recording? or did u play each part one at a time and just show that everything has its own imput?

  • The motif has 4 outputs, it has a left and right sterio out and also a left and right individual out, and the triton has 6 outputs, a sterio left and right and 4 individual outs, and all my outputs go to seperate tracks in protools.

  • whats up boss man i like what your doing an i like way da way u keep tho's beats gangsta blood question do i still need a adat adapter with da project mix i/o cos i can't record 16 tracks at once i have to do it one at a time an it's starting to piss me off

  • You should be able to record at least 10 tracks at one time with your project mix, because it has 8 inputs and 2 spdif inputs, you should go to setup theen i/o and set your input to defult, output to defult, and your bus to defult, and them tracks will show up in your edit window, and if you want to do 18 at one time then get a adat converter for 8 more inputs because the project mix has adat lite pipe also. but for now you can record 10 at one time with what you got. Peace!

  • thanx for the explanations

  • Nice work!

  • If you get another ADA converter can you an additional 8 more tracks just curious?

  • I dont know, But im thinking, maby if your interface or whaterver has two adat inputs, but I never seened that before

  • yea there is a piece of gear called the m-audio profire 2626 that has two adat ins for a total of 16 lightpipe tracks

  • Hello: First off great tutorial now I'm new to the pro tools game. I come from the VS1680 Roland Era. I have been recording and making my music using pro tools for like 3 weeks. My set up is simple MPC 200xl & Motiff 6 & Digi 02, quality microphone. My question is when I play the Motiff into pro tools for 4 bars then try to duplicate it there is a delay. The sequencer doesn't role like the MPC. How do I get the loop perfect using Pro-tools. I also want to master copy and paste for Hooks

  • Check the bpm tempo on both. In Pro Tools you can change the tempo, it's on the transport window. If the recorded loop don't land on the beat, change to slip mode and tweak the start and end times of the recorded loop so they start and end where the wave lines start and end on it. Then change to grid mode and drag loop to start of bar. Sometimes you have to use the consolidate file from the drop down menu to fill the loop where it's blank. Always record on grid mode with loops. hope it helps

  • That makes perfect sense sir I appreciate the responce. I copied what you told me and I will try it. Once I get it down I will let you know indeed thanks for the response sir

  • you have to set a 1 or 2 bar space before the song . to play it on time b cuz the midi clocks need time to seq up together . that should fix it !

  • intresting video, music is a lifestyle. you are a very organized man. keep it up!

  • THANKS!

  • Even though I already know how to do this stuff, I appreciate your videos. You explain stuff very well in a way that anyone should be able to understand. GREAT JOB, bro!!!
