  • wow...i bought bosch platinum like 2 weeks ago and its already faacked up, my car was running rich, car is sputtering, fuel on spark plug, white smoke comes out from exhaust smelling like gas. Tested and sure enough was the bosch spark plug not giving out sparks. DON'T BUY BOSCH OF ANYTHING, THEY SUCK BALL..I've changed out lots of stuff just to find out it was the spark plug. Just because you buy new parts does not mean it will go bad in a week. I was wrong there.

  • @DuBNeTiX I agree with you 100%.I see tons of problems with Bosch plugs.Cause missfires in Chrysler products and I wonder why they run like shit sometimes.

  • @wafrederick People tend to buy parts just because of the known name brand. Well I've used lots of car parts that is from japan and china, in my opinion they work better then name brand product. I'm sticking with my favorite brand NGK PLUG WIRES AND NGK V-POWER SPARK PLUGS. They never fell on me, anyone got any questions on why your car is acting up just hit me up, just describe your situations and i will try my best to answer them for you, I've done losts of swap on hondas and acura.

  • @DuBNeTiX This is true. The previous owner of my car put some shitty Bosch plugs in. Whenever I tried to hot start it, it would give me shit. Finally I got tired of it swapped in some OEM spec NGK's, now she cranks like a charm. Better gas mileage too.

  • vot dalbaebb

  • oh shes fucked

  • Bosch just sucks.

  • wow I've never seen this happen before

  • i think a blind man could see its broken most pointless vid i have ever seen

  • you are very idiot real

  • apparently there arent a lot of mechanics out there, they must have thought this video was about something else

  • yep shes Busted time to go in the junk yard.

  • great! i don't thinkmy gokart sparkplug is dead! :)

  • this is realllllly bad!

  • DUH

  • lol

  • Only Use Original spark plugs :D to be sure it wont couse engine damage I busted 2 Pistons in a car once using ngk oem replacement plugs

  • wow....

never seen a sparkplug damaged like this :-O

  • I don't understand why there are so many dislikes.

  • @wellmanj Thanks my friend, I was only trying to share what a bad spark plug looked like. I have another video somewhere with the sound the engine was making. I brought the car to 2 shops who both suggested replacing all of the lifters in the 30 valve engine (Audi 2.7T) as the sound was so similar to stuck lifters. Fortunately, I eventually diagnosed the problem myself and saved thousands. My main goal is to help others avoid similar situations in the future. Thanks again for your support.

  • @TheDoq the sound would of been the plug ceramic sucking in and blown back out making a very strange sound i have only seen 1 plug like it in my life yours is the second and both seem to be bosh plugs i have seen a snapped bosh cambelt with 25,000Ks also seems like bosh is a bad brand and i find the very cheap brands like dayco(china or some place like that) are better then the big names

  • WELP! thats fucked

  • waw iv never seen that before

  • I uses Bosch on my Benz, Toyota and Honda NO problem!!!!

  • interesting to know there are counterfeits. I was not aware

  • Are you sure it really is a genuine Bosch plug? It could be counterfeit you know. (just Google for "fake spark plugs") You could look at this story about plugs in Dubai (html not accepted) OK a million dollars worth of plugs got trashed but that was only ONE container load. There were probably dozens more shipping containers of bad fake plugs that did get through. The fakers fake NGK, Bosch and Denso and probably other brands as well.

  • have you use this "super ultra golden diamon 11000 volts like-soldering arch spark plugs?" WHEN PEOPLE LEARN THAT MOST BRANDS MEET TODAY'S CARS REQUIREMENTS? In the case your car uses a specific brand (HONDA-NGK, ) go with it, cause that car maker designed its engines with that parts brand... soooo use your brain a little and get your car last forever.

  • How about Autolite? I just put them in my 99 chevy cav and they've been great thus far, no issues at all.

  • ouch. looks like an adjustable shock. i got a mustang and the best are stock plugs. i ran the car to 110k miles until i had to replace em. but then again it depends on everyones driving style.

  • Denso spark plugs from Japan are the best, no doubt.

  • CHAMPION IS THE BEST!! bosch works fine and NGK is a shit!

  • @hdug86989 Really all i use are ngk i love the hell out of them i've had a bosch do that but i didn't catch it in time and ended up some how breaking off falling into my combustion chamber im not the only one a few other had similar events happen to them. and good news is bosch paid for the new motor lol and i've run ngk ever since no problem never like champions but to everyone's got a different taste

  • @hdug86989 Champion is the worst shit I have ever bought. My dad also used to work for Chrysler and they put Champion shit plugs in the cars with the lean burn system. THE PLUGS COULD NOT KEEP UP WITH THE ENGINE RPM's, they foul a lot. Especially in 2 strokes. They don't last a long time. There shit.

  • that was new? lookit the gunk in the threads and on the white part of the spark plug. looks kinda dirty. did you put it in already and try it?

  • DUH!!!!!

  • bloodyhell lol youv done some nice work on that lol how many miles did you get owt of it ? lol

  • Years ago this problem was common a lot of plugs did this . Today it's rare . Nice to see Bosch is keeping up the tradition .

  • Now featuring Bosch AutoGap..... it adjusts while you drive :)

  • NGK ANY DAY!!!! NEVA LET ME DOWN

  • bosch is bad ass

  • fuck bosch,,, one disintegrated on me,, it was 3 days old,,, put in NGK (8$ for the bad bosch, and 1.25$ for NGK) and runs like a CHAMP,,, NGK ALL THE WAY

  • @TheGhostface254 "NGK... runs like a CHAMP" - as in Champion? I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed that.

  • and thats why bosch is junk.

  • BOSCH IS THE BEST)(:)~

  • I have just checked my bosch platinum plugs for the first time .............they look as good as new........they have been in my corrado for over 50000 miles and i guess they will stay in there for many more miles to come........it just goes to show.........you get some good ones and some bad ones...............or is it all down to the driver/user??

  • well seeing how most of the comments from these users are about faulty brand new plugs, I'd have to say these instances have nothing to do with the driver/user

  • Dont ever use bosch plugs..They are junk..The electrodes break and or fall off into the cylinders and destroy your engine..This did happen to me. I had to buy a new motor for my chevy blazer.I researched it online and in about 5 min i found 10 other cases of this happening to other people..

  • and it's platinum :)) expensive then gold :))

  • if that was in you motor bike or car it would proberly hole your piston or break some thing else in the motor for sure

  • Bosch is shit. I had A defective spark plug that broke inside the cylinder. Scored the shit out of it and bent A valve. I took the plug to Bosch's head office and they basically said in a nice way to go fuck myself. All i wanted was for them to fix what their product screwed up. I will never buy any Bosch products again. So if you want to take your chances with a company that won't back up their product. Then go ahead.

  • @ATEAMSTYLES I had the same issure..3 of them broke off in my blazer engine..Destroying the pistons. It pisses me off. Im not saying i want them to replace my engine, but that would be nice. But they need to fix this problem so it doesnt continue to screw over tons of people...If you still have the number that you called id love to have it..

  • @bshaw1979 I actually didnt call. I took it straight to their head office they have in my city where I live. And shoved it in their faces. They called me back when they finished "investigating" the problem spark plug. I hope your sitting down when i tell you the next part. They determined that it broke due to In proper torque specifications. I argued the fact that I was an apprentice mechanic at the time and knew what I was doing. And their product did not specify A "torque spec".

  • don't worry, you can still use it to smash your cars window if you left the keys inside... just saying

  • i've always bought autolites for 30 years, replacing plugs soon, should i used bosch or are the brands all the same? i use platinum ones.bosch are 1.99 at advance.

  • As new, just put back in the engine :)

  • well that aint gon' work.

  • realy interesting -.-

  • usualy i use these on high compression engines that i cant usualy start by hand lol by the way your a doktor too?

  • I haven't even got a car, so why did I watch this video?

  • its relevant to anything. if you see caramel colored around the base of the ceramic then it is BAD! blowby is occurring and the engine is losing compression

  • @strapazin You have a motorbike

  • this is y you buy expensive ones so it will last longer that changing them everytime

  • lol it's a bosch spark plug^^ buy spark plugs by NGK & you'll never get shit like the plug in the video^^

  • You can get NGK's for like $12 and their good....

  • you obviously tightened them too much, and broke the insulator inside, your own negligence, not bosch's.... but still, nhk is good

  • ngk*

  • You are right about that being the fault of whoever installed the plug but every car ive ever bought used has had Bosch plugs in it and they are always destroyed. Pobly my bad luck. Just stick to NGK V-power or Accel U-grooves. they are what i find to be best

  • i put new botch spark plugs and wires on my camaro and they lasted me like 3 years, no shit.

  • three years isnt that long

  • That's probably loose because the heat range was too hot or the plug is at the end of it's service life, I've had that happen on small engine plugs before. toss it out and grab a new spark plug.

  • Absoolutely right.

  • That is why I never buy Bosch

  • this is why bosch is shit ngk is power!

  • i see the problem.... its a bosch lol... that thing would never touch any of my cars

  • PRE-GAPPED? LOL

  • I thing this is a new vesion of Sparkplugs.

    She names Multigap-Plugs LOL

  • Ha one of your pistons musta hit the plug. Might wanna check your piston.

  • umm, def not. Under normal operation for a car. The Piston would have to snap at the connecting rod or have serious issues for anything like that to happen. Too high of compression can cause it if say a valve does not open properly or a bad combustion with too much carbon built up. Also most engines have their sparkplugs pretty far from the Piston at TDC.(Top dead center)

  • I totally apologize for the statement i made 11 months ago, I Just didnt know, now i know.

  • How long it take you to find that problem? Or was it jumping around/spitting smoke?

  • it wouldn't be hard as it would spit stuff (maybe even flames) out from the spark plug area right next to the wire for that plug.

  • yeah! variable spark gap plugs! lol! no seriously thats bad

  • i use the ngk on imports and there fine but those bosch dont make much diffrence

  • haha its "adjustable" so you can adjust the length of the spark :D haha

  • No, they are pre-gapped. It is broken.

  • lol i know, i was being sarcastic :D

  • haha, sorry i didn't recognize the sarcasm - good stuff :)

  • @TheDoq

so we learned never use these shit BOSCH SparkPlugs always use NGK!"

  • @Triple88a -

Next time use Sarcastica Bold, because test doesn't carry inflection.

  • @ahausheer for me it did he used quotations and put haha on both sides. with a smilie face too. in fact it was fairly obvious.

  • Like Microsoft software, that's not a bug, but a feature.

  • no, thats a bosch

  • I'll take Bosch plugs over NGK any day.

  • Go for it man...all I'm saying is that I got a bad Bosch plug and haven't had problems with NGK. Both brands have had problems and for the most part, successes - I'm just sharing my own experience.

  • @TheDoq NGK Plugs-prone to stripping the threads on first installation and very few have a bad seal on the washer

Bosch-did have weak electrodes and had a problem like this one in the vid

the both do have problems, id rather buy champion plugs ;) never had a bad one xD

  • @number1Schumacherfan

    ill take E3 over anything

  • @number1Schumacherfan No you are wrong bosch plugs are bad! allaways been NGK are mede in the usa, and japan constant quality were else bosch are made every were.

  • @doromanekia NGK is Japan dude.

  • @number1Schumacherfan denso......denso is the best. bosche cant touch denso . like the rotary , germans make great components, but the japanese perfect them .

  • @number1Schumacherfan i wouldnt use either i would use champion spark plugs
