Great to see this video of my Uncle as I never saw him working in real life. Saw some of the smaller dummies when I went to his daughters. Sadly the life size ones were stored away.

I worked with Jim in 1981,unbelievable what he could do with a coat hanger&a bit of knicker elastic-he didnt believe in waste and Ive even known him to cut hair from a girls head to make his own paintbrushes.

Fond memories for me,I miss the guy-he told me so many tales of his working days,he even worked alongside Morecambe&Wise,Les Dawson,Ken Dodd&many more,yet he never told me why he retired from the stage so early in his career.
