@COBiLP unfortunately both of the above mentioned wont work, since they are NPN transistors, try seeking any general purpose pnp transistors.

I used BC557 PNP transistors (Q1 to Q10), it works fine, Good luck with the project.

@COBiLP : Be careful while soldering B,C & E of BC557, you may have to bend the pins a bit.
