there is doubt about that this really IS on of the worst rally games ever produced.
1st. thing that i was angry about, was the sound! reminded me of colin mcrae 04 ON PS2!!
2nd. graphics....... well its somewhere between VRally and, again, colin mcrae 04. its just added some motion blur. the graphics are SOOO lame compared to the coming dirt3 and way! waaaaaay behind dirt 2. and why the f*** didnt they use DirectX 11???
3rd. it was a great disappointment to the WRC game series!
graphics are not the best, nor is the sounds. But the feeling of being a "real" rally driver is there; coupled with pretty good physics and a high fun factor, this game is good IMO. Reminds me alot of F1 2010;not the best SIM but a very good, slightly realistic game.

Now come on guys, I know this game wasn't the greatest but I love sim racing and I don't mind this game at all. Although the graphics aren't the best and the physics aren't as perfect as RBR rally if you want to drive a current WRC it sure beats Sega Rally!
The graphics are unbelievably bad. in the clpi you can clearly see a bit how bad are the textures from the car to the terrain, but what absolutely kills it are the graphics further down the road. After the first few meters everything becomes extremely blurry (my guess is very low resolution textures+some AA smoothing from hell) and you can't see far enough to drive properly.
I don't know how this game got the go ahead, but the developers should be ashamed for releasing this POS game.

Dirt 2 could be a good game if it was only rally. Dirt 2 is some arcade Ken Block bullshit, Ken Block can only drive so called "American Rally" a.k.a he drives it indoor tracks! He is nothing in a real rally series. I'm not a big rally fan, but I like the games. I have Dirt 2, but got bored to it because of the indoor tracks whit some shitty Trailblazers and Buggies etc. it's not rally. This game is rally, but doesn't look too good. I'm still gonna get it!

just did a full Jordan Rally & it was ace , LOVE the damage system ,
everything is broken down into many parts, you dont just click fix wheel, radiater,
engine, suspension Etc, each area has many things that can brake, & 2 problems in 2 different areas can combine to cause a 3rd problem if left unfixed, like say a certain part of the radiater is damaged & a certain part of the cooler, those 2 problems may combine to cause a 3rd problem somewhere, it explains this to you in game.
people need to stop judging this game so quickly after a few goes on the demo.

@pon4iks most racing games players are what i call 'casual racers', they just wanna have fun and feel like they're going fast, whereas 'simmers' such as myself prefer physics over graphics or anything else. RBR delivers exactly that to its fans. If you present a 'casual racer' with a game like RBR they'll probably turn it down having only done about 15 minutes of racing simply because its too hard/frustrating to them.
Well, in most of the tracks the grafics are very good but as a whole environment it is not very realistic, I mean the road is too wide, it's not like richard burns rally. But the car grafics are amazing! And the way it gets dirt and crashes and from the variety of cars, I am not dissapointed. Actually the game lacks 2 important things: realism on driving and crashing (I mean it should be damaged much harder), and difficult tracks.
It's a good 7/10 game for me. Audio needs working on along with other effects. But the physics are great, very challenging using a steering wheel. You've really got to master the car handling before judging the game. Very good considering its Blackbeans first attempt, but next year surely will be much better

Just played the demo of this, downloaded it today, while the graphics look disappointing on here they are pretty food when actually playing the game, and i am only playing on level 2 difficulty, and may i say to those knocking it for being non sim like, it is pretty hard and challenging and deffinately can be classed as sim like in my book, modern day RBR with slightly poor graphics i would say, but what do you want from i small company, i will sooo be buying this game. 8/10 for me so far

I dont see what everyone else is complaining about. The game looks well good, first WRC game on consoles in 5 years and i personally can not wait to play it. Looks much better than the Dirt games.
Am I looking at an RBR level sim or a game? I really really want a successor to RBR. The core market is hard to please and our games are rough on newcomers, but it's oh so rewarding when you get it. It's race car driving for those of us who want the closest thing we can get to it.
I admit, I was hoping for an RBR difficult game. But look at the name; it's the OFFICIAL WRC game, they wouldn't make much money off it if they can't make it playable for casual gamers. Plus, without the driving aids according to testers is still really hard. They'll have good physics in the demo. So make like a co - driver and be calm!

I can forgive poor graphics and sound to an extent, but the car looks lifeless. Was harbouring hope for this game but i think it may well be a huge disappointment. If youre building a sim at least try to match or better rbr. If youre trying to make an accessible game for a wider market try to match dirt 2 (didnt like dirt 1s physics, although the tracks were good). I might be wrong but im predicting a flop.
Geoff Crammond's GP2 from 1996 had more impressive sounds. So disappointed, sounds are so much more important than game developers seem to give credit for.

I like this game, the physics are good, the graphics are acceptable especially from the bonnet cam.
Grievances so far are the stages being all to similar.
The Co-pilots ridiculous out bursts and telling you to slow down when its a full speed corner.
The sound from braking is non existent?
No insentive to run career mode against hard oppostion, you get the same money from running the weekest.
Japan is TOOO dark!

i wouldnt care if it had 8bit graphics!!! its finally a WRC game!!! dirt 2 was crap, and iv played the older games so many times its sickening... finally i get to set up my car according to weather / terrain and where small changes make huge differences in split times, and where damage has to be taken seriously ... yessss!!! and ill pick the lancer and call myself TOMMI and bring the legend back to life as ill finally see all the stage and race records broken by TOMMI in 2010!!!

Just played the demo of this, downloaded it today, while the graphics look disappointing on here they are pretty food when actually playing the game, and i am only playing on level 2 difficulty, and may i say to those knocking it for being non sim like, it is pretty hard and challenging and deffinately can be classed as sim like in my book, modern day RBR with slightly poor graphics i would say, but what do you want from i small company, i will sooo be buying this game. 8/10 for me so far

ps2 graphics 1:51 ia an isult to my eyes. how can they deliver this crap? look at the trees.... o my god. why cant codemasters make a real rally game with trackdesigners from richard burns rally, pumped up graphics with the evo engine and the rally fans are happy.... instead we get THIS. maybe this is fun and i will buy it when it is cheaper, but this is not good at all. lool what a nice F1 game was made for the fans .... now we as rally fans get this... thanks blackbean

@rafaeldesign2009 which video are you talking about? 1:51 tell me what is good there? the water kooks like from a postcard... physics oh yeah it splashed out of my monitor really nice, realism 0 , this was made without any love for the detail and the graphics engine was ported from last gen.... all the trees look the same ... and from the inside it looks worse than wrc evolved from evolution studios... a shame they made motorstorm instead of going on with rally. imagine motorstorm graphics here

I dont see what everyone else is complaining about. The game looks well good, first WRC game on consoles in 5 years and i personally can not wait to play it. Looks much better than the Dirt games.

Am I looking at an RBR level sim or a game? I really really want a successor to RBR. The core market is hard to please and our games are rough on newcomers, but it's oh so rewarding when you get it. It's race car driving for those of us who want the closest thing we can get to it.

I admit, I was hoping for an RBR difficult game. But look at the name; it's the OFFICIAL WRC game, they wouldn't make much money off it if they can't make it playable for casual gamers. Plus, without the driving aids according to testers is still really hard. They'll have good physics in the demo. So make like a co - driver and be calm!

I can forgive poor graphics and sound to an extent, but the car looks lifeless. Was harbouring hope for this game but i think it may well be a huge disappointment. If youre building a sim at least try to match or better rbr. If youre trying to make an accessible game for a wider market try to match dirt 2 (didnt like dirt 1s physics, although the tracks were good). I might be wrong but im predicting a flop.

I like what I see so far. I play and enjoy RBR as much as the next guy, but sometimes it feels like work. This game still has an authentic feel to the cars from watching the replays. I've already preordered my copy.
