I'm pretty sure what he's doing is telling the demonstrator to designate a hand as a "truth" hand or a "liar" hand. He then questions either the truther or the liar one question to tell where the paper is. Usually the question is "Does the liar have the object", then he can tell where the paper is. It's mentalism. Uri Gellar is a fake.
