I agree, I was at a Mormon church for a service once as my best mate's family is Mormon and I was his best man for the wedding day. I had to sit and listen to children get up stage and resite various passages. I thought "fair enough.." but then one little boy said something that tugged on my rage nerve.. he said "I've been told to say this." and I instantly facepalmed. That kid will be brought up to believe what his parents do. It's a shame, but it happens so much.
