Out of both the Addams Family and the Munsters, I liked the Munsters better because the Munsters were more normal than the Addams family. They thought and acted more like ordinary people than the Addams family did, with of course some differences.
@pytko3 The thing is that The Addams were crazy and The Munsters were normal people, with an exepyion to their pets, Habits and Grandpa who always wanted to use his vampire stuff on people.... but since they promised to act like good regular people. they atop him
Beautiful snapshots, must have been quite an event. Meeting TV stars we grew up with is always such a thrill (SEE: butch patrick at the capri), My opportunity to meet and tape the actor who played Eddie Munster came when he visited a drive in theater. They dug up (pun intended) an old print of AMERICAN GRAFFITI and also invited Paul LeMat, so it was quite the night. Seeing him in costume here is a treat, thank you!
Lisa Loring was a cutie as a little girl, but as an adult she was truly beautiful. Bit too much makeup on her here, though; she almost resembles Chynna. Like a lot of child stars, she had battles with drugs and alcohol. She seems to have come through OK, though.
the munsters were a completely normal family in green makeup...the Addams Family embraced their weridness and eccentricity. The Munsters strived for comformity while the Addams Family did not.
Other way round actually. The Addamses had a dismal brainwashing-sitcom effect on the lives of all their visitors, "he's joined his father's firm", that makes it unwatchable. Their values were normal with a few gag opposites. Munsters had more seriously different vampire values.
That would have been awesome. They could have had them meet at one of those ghoulish masquerade balls and visit each others homes or something. Probably would have had to be a one hour special or a two part show.
I guess we just have to assume that the Munsters lived right across the street from one another just like the Bradys lived right across the street from the Partridge family...
And from the Cleavers, believe it or not. Same producer, same street. There was a difference between the two, though. The Munsters were a completely healthy family. It's impossible to imagine them ever hurting anybody. Gomez and Fester.............mmmmm, maybe NOT! This, alone would make for some interesting interplay.,
I met Lisa Loring at one of the Chiller Theatre shows around 2006 and she was still hot..and what a rack too..gotta be at least a DD. That's fine with me.... :)
Lisa Loring also played Cricket Montgomery on AS THE WORLD TURNS in the early 1980s. Cricket was the sister of Craig Montgomery, Margo Montgomery Hughes and Katie Peretti Snyder (they shared the same mother, Lyla Montgomery Peretti).
I ABSOLTELY LOVE IT!, omg lisa loring is so beautiful...Awww thank you it's so AMAZING!!

@SchnuffelB Agree. After all these years the Munsters still resonate with humanity.

too bad the Munster and Addams Families didn't meet up in the 1960s. That would have been awesome!
